āra bāra aiche nā khāiha rāja-dhana
āji haite diluṅ tomāya dviguṇa vartana“
Synonyms
ara bāra—another time; aiche—like this; na khāiha—do not misappropriate; raja-dhana—government revenue; āji haite—from today; diluṅ—I award; tomāya—unto you; dvi-guna vartana—twice the salary. ¶
Translation
“Do not again misappropriate the revenue of the government. In case you think your salary insufficient, henceforward it will be doubled.” ¶
