## Tulasī-devī as Vṛndā
Tulasī-devī is also known as Vṛndā-devī, and the sacred forest of Vṛndāvana is named after her because she grows so abundantly there. The Tulasī Praṇāma prayer addresses her by both names:

The name *Vṛndāvana* means "the forest of Vṛndā (Tulasī)." Because Tulasī is so dear to Lord Kṛṣṇa, the place where she grows in abundance becomes His eternal abode.
