# Rāmānujācārya
> [!summary]
> *Rāmānujācārya (1017-1137) was one of the most influential ācāryas in Vaiṣṇava history, establishing the Śrī-sampradāya and the philosophy of viśiṣṭādvaita (qualified non-dualism). He powerfully refuted Śaṅkarācārya's impersonalism and established that the Supreme Lord is a person with transcendental qualities. Lord Caitanya visited his birthplace and respected his contributions to devotional philosophy.*
