# Rāmānujācārya > [!summary] > *Rāmānujācārya (1017-1137) was one of the most influential ācāryas in Vaiṣṇava history, establishing the Śrī-sampradāya and the philosophy of viśiṣṭādvaita (qualified non-dualism). He powerfully refuted Śaṅkarācārya's impersonalism and established that the Supreme Lord is a person with transcendental qualities.
