# Nārada Muni

> *Nārada Muni is one of the greatest devotees and preachers in the universe. As a spaceman who can travel anywhere, he continuously moves throughout creation, spreading the message of devotional service. He is the spiritual master of many exalted personalities including Prahlāda Mahārāja, Dhruva Mahārāja, and Vyāsadeva. Through his constant chanting and preaching, Nārada has transformed countless souls, including the hunter who became his famous disciple. He carries the vīṇā, a stringed instrument, with which he constantly glorifies the Lord. Counted among the twelve mahājanas, Nārada appears throughout Vedic history wherever devotional service needs to be established.*
