> [!summary]
> *Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura (1838-1914) was the pioneer of the modern Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇava renaissance. Despite working as a government magistrate, he wrote over 100 books, composed devotional songs, and rediscovered Lord Caitanya's birthplace in Māyāpur. He predicted that the holy name would spread to every town and village, a prophecy fulfilled through his disciplic descendants. He is the father of Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura.*
