Sri Bhagavan uvaca. In every chapter, you’ll find this word.
- [21:01]
-
Sri Bhagavan uvaca, Bhagavan means….Bhagavan means The Supreme Personality of Godhead.
- [21:01]
-
Bhaga…“Bhaga” means opulences and “van” means one who possesses.
- [21:01]
-
So, God means, who possesses all opulences, in fullness, He’s called Bhagavan.
- [21:01]
-
The definition of God is…He is the richest, the strongest, the mosy beaituful, He’s the wisest,
- [21:01]
-
He’s the most renounced…In this way, you analyze that there are many rich men
- [21:01]
-
but no one can say that “I’m the richest so far.” That’s not possible.
- [21:01]
-
Because there’s competition. If I am rich, you are richer than me, another richer than you,
- [21:01]
-
another richer than him. So, nobody can say “I’m the richest of all.”
- [21:01]
-
That only God can say.
- [21:01]
-
In this way, where you find the Supreme, the Supreme Being?
- [21:01]
-
The one God is defined in dictionary as the Supreme Being.
- [21:01]
-
We’re very technologically advanced but there’s a lacking in society
- [26:01]
-
which Srimad-Bhagavatam is filling. That lacking is in spiritual knowledge.
- [31:01]
-
Actually Prabhupada says it’s a vacuum and it is. There’s a spiritual vacuum in society.
- [38:01]
-
Everybody is doing so many things but there is no real spiritual understanding of the…
- [43:01]
-
The whole basis should have that spiritual understanding behind it.
- [48:01]
-
If it’s not there you’ll find frustrated people everywhere like in today’s society.
- [54:01]
-
We’re so much advanced, you yourselves teach people and they learn things,
- [00:01]
-
they become very expert in mathematics, and so many different sciences or grammar.
- [06:01]
-
But if that grammar and that science and those different aspects of education
- [11:01]
-
aren’t centered around God consciousness then they’re all for naught.
- [26:01]
-
We are part and parcel of God, or Krishna. We are not enjoyer.
- [34:01]
-
We asked Jadurani devi dasi, one of the artists at ISKCON press, to
- [38:01]
-
tell us about her involvement in the Hare Krishna movement.
- [48:01]
-
So I met Srila Prabhupada in 1967. I was up in his apartment…
- [48:01]
-
So, in this world of fools and rascals who do not know what is perfection,
- [48:01]
-
they are simply thinking: “So long I live, let me live very opulently,
- [48:01]
-
and let me dance like the dog. That is is (their) perfection.
- [48:01]
-
No! Perfection means you must stop birth, death, old age and disease. That is perfection!
- [48:01]
-
So, out of many thousands of people, one is expert how to stop this imperfect.
- [48:01]
-
And out of many of such persons who are actually tring for perfection, out of many thousands of…
- [48:01]
-
Krishna says: “One who has attained perfection, and, out of many such people, many ancient thousands, one may know me.”
- [48:01]
-
Just see! How to understand Krishna is so difficult!
- [48:01]
-
That Krishna is being delivered by Sri Caitanya Mahapranhu. That Krishna! Immediately!
- [48:01]
-
Chant, dance and take prasadam, and eat prasadam and go on…
- [48:01]
-
Just see! How much efficient this movement is! Immediately!
- [48:01]
-
Therefore, it’s called…
- [48:01]
-
Yes, Go on chanting and dancing. They are realizing! Why? Because Krishna himself is delivering!
- [48:01]
-
All right! Take it! It’s very difficult to understand me by…
- [48:01]
-
But I give myself to you! Come on! This is krishna Consciousness! Try to understand it!
- [48:01]
-
And it’s not difficult! Even a child can take it!
