**Prabhupāda:** So we have discussed the different names of Manu, the father of man. In different millenniums there are different Manus, and the present Manu is Vaivasvata Manu. Out of the fourteen Manus, now it is, the eighth Manu is going on at the present moment. That means this is about one o'clock in the day of Brahmā, just past noon. It is going to be afternoon. And during Brahmā's sleeping time all these planets will be, I mean to say, not annihilated, but inundated, you see—devastation with water.
So after the finishing of these fourteen Manus here will be evening, night, and there will be devastation, and half of this universe, up to the sun planet, or above that, everything will be covered with water. Instead of air, there will be water. Then again there will be again... This is *kaṇḍa-pralaya.* And *mahā-pralaya* means when Brahmā dies, then everything is finished.
So these fourteen Manus we have mentioned yesterday. Now *yugāvatāra. Yugāvatāra* means just like there are four *yugas:* Satya, Tretā, Dvāpara, Kali. The ages of each *yuga* we have mentioned already. Now in the Satya-yuga, when the *yugāvatāra* comes, He is white. He is Hayagrīva in the Satya-yuga, as white as our Hayagrīva brahmacārī. Yes. He is white. And *rakta. Śukla-rakta-kṛṣṇa-pīta-krame cāri varṇa* [[cc/madhya/20/330|[Cc. Madhya 20.330] ]].

**Hayagrīva:** What about taking the primers and changing the names of the people to people like Satyabhāmā and give them spiritual names. Would that be nice?
**Hayagrīva:** What about any history? World history or American history, or American literature or English literature?
**Prabhupāda:** American history. That's all. They are Americans. They should learn American history. Don't bother much.

**Prabhupāda:** This Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement is composed of four different stages. The first stage is to understand the relationship with Godhead, or Kṛṣṇa. Because the conditioned souls at the present moment, they are forgotten self. They have forgotten their relationship with Kṛṣṇa.
Actually the relationship is there, eternal, but under the influence of *māyā* he is thinking that "I am something of this material world," identifying himself with this body. So we have to awake them from that illusory existence, what he is not.
The whole mistake of the modern status of life... I don't say modern civilization. This is coming up since the creation of this material world. Sometimes it is in greater degree and sometimes in lesser degree. In Satya-yuga the same condition, but in lesser degree.

**Nitāi:** *Oṁ namo bhagavate vāsudevāya.* *Oṁ namo bhagavate vāsudevāya.* *Oṁ namo bhagavate vāsudevāya.* [devotees repeat] [leads chanting of verse, etc.]
"All these are considered the qualified Brahman. The mixing element, which is known as time, is counted as the twenty-fifth element."

**Prabhupāda:** Raja Sahib, Gentlemen, there is one difficulty for me, I cannot speak Gujarati at all and Hindi also I cannot speak very correctly. Anyways, all of you excuse me. This Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement that we have created, International Society for Kṛṣṇa Consciousness, the aim of this is that all over the world the people are mistaken, what are they mistaken about? They think that by generating lots of money and indulging in sense gratification, I will be very happy in that. This is going on all over the world. Get money somehow and enjoy. In the western world this is called hedonism. Eat drink be merry and enjoy.* [Interruption] You sit down!
Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, about 500 years ago, this *sankirtan* movement, the preaching of the holy names of the Lord, there is no difference between the Lord and His name. *Nāma-cintāmaṇi kṛṣṇa*, the scriptures say that name of the Lord Kṛṣṇa and the name of the Lord Rāma, these are God Himself.
Just like the Lord, in the deity form is fully spiritual, similarly the name of the Lord that is also completely spiritual.

**Prabhupāda:** [Hindi] The experiment with truth [Hindi]. What is the experiment with truth? [Hindi]
**Prabhupāda:** It is cured. That one tablet, two tablets, has cured. So explain what is the experiment with truth.
**Dr. Patel:** There are two types of experiments, sir, according to me. I may be wrong, and I am open to correction. One experimentation with the crude world; another experiment with your own mind. Which type of experiment we want?

**Prabhupāda:** > ṛṣabha uvāca > nāyaṁ deho deha-bhājāṁ nṛloke > kaṣṭān kāmān arhate viḍ-bhujāṁ ye > tapo divyaṁ putrakā yena sattvaṁ > śuddhyed yasmād brahma-saukhyaṁ tv anantam > [[sb/5/5/1|[SB. 5.5.1] ]]
This is the instruction of Ṛṣabhadeva. He is eternal personality of Godhead. Ṛṣabhadeva. He is an authority. One of the principle one. The Jains also follow Ṛṣabhadeva. The Supreme Personality of Godhead is for everybody. God is neither Hindu, nor Muslim, nor Jain. God is God eternally. Just like gold, if a Hindu has gold, it is not Hindu-gold. It is gold. If some Muslim has gold, it is not Muslim-gold. Similarly the Supreme Lord is one. *Eka brahma dvitīya nasty*. This is our illusion that there is Hindu *dharma*, Muslim dharma, Christian *dharma*, Jain *dharma*. *Dharma* should be one. About *dharma* Yamarāja explains, *dharmaṁ tu sākṣād bhagavat-praṇītaṁ* [[sb/6/3/19|[SB. 6.3.19] ]]
*Dharma* refers to that which is given or spoken by the Supreme Personality of Godhead.* [Aside: That child.] Just like the laws. Law. India is our country. The laws of India can be made only by the government. It is not that the Hindus make a law, the Muslims make a law, the Christians make a law. No. The law will be accepted only that which is enacted by the government. If you walk on the road it says, "keep to the right" or "keep to the left." It must be followed by the Muslims or Hindus or Christians simply because it is the government's rule. Similarly whatever the Supreme Personality of Godhead says that is *dharma*. This is the simplest definition of *dharma. dharmaṁ tu sākṣād bhagavat-praṇītaṁ*. [[sb/6/3/19|[SB. 6.3.19] ]] In the *Bhagavad-gītā* the Supreme Lord personally comes and explains, *man-manā bhava mad-bhakto mad-yājī māṁ namaskuru*. [[bg/18/65|[Bg. 18.65] ]]
