You must seek attachment unto such holy men, for this counteracts the pernicious effects of material attachment." --- **[[spoken/751124cc.bom|Cc. Madhya 6.154 — November 24, 1975, Bombay]]** **Prabhupāda:** > viṣṇu-śaktiḥ parā proktā > kṣetrajñākhyā tathā parā > avidyā-karma-samjñā anyā > tṛtīyā śaktir iṣyate > [[cc/madhya/6/154|[Cc. Madhya 6.154] ]] So we were discussing other night about the three principal energies of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. There are multi-energies. *Parāsya śaktir vividhaiva śrūyate svābhāvikī jñāna-bala-kriyā ca* *[Cc Madhya*13.65*, purport].* From *śruti* we understand that the Supreme Lord is full of potencies. Even we are. We are a small particle of the Supreme Lord; still, we are full of potencies. Just like you shave today, and tomorrow morning, by your own potency, the hairs again grown. We see actually things are happening. How it is happening, that we do not know, even in our body. But it is a fact it is happening. Things are happening. That means due to my potency. As soon as I leave this body there will be no more hair growth. The potency is gone. So as we are a small particle, *mamaivāṁśo jīva-bhūtaḥ...* [[bg/15/7|[Bg. 15.7] ]]. *Jīva,* the living entity, is a very small particle, one ten-thousandth part of the top point of hair. *Keśāgra-śata-bhāgasya śatadhā kalpitasya ca* [[cc/madhya/19/140|[Cc. Madhya 19.140] ]]. So such a small particle, atomic particle of the Supreme Lord, has got so much potencies. We see different varieties of life, different intelligence all over the world. What is that? Potency. So if we have got so much potencies, just imagine what Kṛṣṇa, the Supreme Person, has got, potency. --- **[[spoken/751124mw.bom|Morning Walk — November 24, 1975, Bombay]]** **Prabhupāda:** Yes. The whole world is suffering on this misconception. The horse also. As soon as it gets on somebody on his back, he become jubilant immediately. This is the nature. *Jīvera 'svarūpa' haya-nitya kṛṣṇa dāsa* [[cc/madhya/20/108-109|[Cc. Madhya 20.108-109] ]]. This is Vaiṣṇava aspiration. *Bhavantam eva caran nirantaraḥ:* "Twenty-four hours simply carrying Your orders." And you can do it. But it is not possible; the mind is checking. *Praśānta-niḥśeṣa mano-rathāntaram.* Unless one's mind is fixed up, he cannot become servant of God. *Kadāham aikāntika-nitya-kiṅkara.* "In this way, when I shall be absolutely Your servant and live very joyfully, that 'I have got my master'?" This is Yāmunācārya's verse. [*Stotra ratna* 46] --- **[[spoken/761124r1.vrn|Room Conversation — November 24, 1976, Vṛndāvana]]** **Prabhupāda:** Wherefrom this *Christo* came. The Greek word. And the Greek got from India, *Kṛṣṇa*. This is the history. *Christian* means Krishnian, godly. And *Christo,* so far I know, the Greek meaning is "decorated," "love." That indicates to Kṛṣṇa. If there is some scholar, he can find out that *Christian* means Krishnian originally. [reads from Mike Robinson interview in *BTG*:] "How the soul transmigrates? The process is very subtle. The spirit soul is invisible to our material eye. It is atomic in size. After the destruction of the gross body, which is made up of the senses, blood, bone, fat and so forth, the subtle body of mind, intelligence and ego goes on working. So at the time of death this subtle body carries the small spirit soul to another gross body. The process is just like air carrying a fragrance. Nobody can see where this rose fragrance is coming from, but we know that it is being carried by the air. You cannot see how, but it is being done. Similarly, the process of transmigration of the soul is very subtle. According to the conditions of the mind at the time of death, the minute spirit soul enters in the womb of a particular mother through the semina of the father. And when the soul develops a particular type of body given by the mother, it may be a human being, it may be cat, a dog or anything." So it is brainwash? Hmm? Mahāvīra*:* But if it was heard by them, they would accept it, but because there are so many cheaters and rascals, that it's all been..., they're so afraid of all of it, because there's been so much cheating and different philosophies and *gurus* and false *gurus* and that. **Prabhupāda:** Now... [Transl. Come in.] So for fix up, you should take paper. Who is in charge of which subject, I want to know. [devotees look for paper] [Transl. Why don't you learn little Sanskrit. Sanskrit. Anyone can learn.] --- **[[spoken/761124sb.vrn|SB 5.6.2 — November 24, 1976, Vṛndāvana]]** **Translation:** "Śrīla Śukadeva Gosvāmī replied: My dear King, you have spoken correctly. However, after capturing animals, a cunning hunter does not put faith in them, for they might run away. Similarly, those who are advanced in spiritual life do not put faith in the mind. Indeed, they always remain vigilant and watch the mind's action." **Prabhupāda:** > ṛṣir uvāca: > satyam uktaṁ kintv iha vā eke na manaso 'ddhā viśrambham anavasthānasya śaṭha-kirāta iva saṅgacchante. > [[sb/5/6/2|[SB. 5.6.2] ]] --- ## Letters - [[../../letters/1968/681124_hansadutta.md|Letter to Hansadutta, 1968]] - [[../../letters/1968/681124_hayagriva.md|Letter to Hayagriva, 1968]] - [[../../letters/1968/681124_syamasundara.md|Letter to Syamasundara, 1968]] - [[../../letters/1969/691124_nara-narayana.md|Letter to Nara-Narayana, 1969]] - [[../../letters/1970/701124_bali-mardana.md|Letter to Bali-Mardana, 1970]] - [[../../letters/1970/701124_bhagavan.md|Letter to Bhagavan, 1970]] - [[../../letters/1970/701124_hayagriva.md|Letter to Hayagriva, 1970]] - [[../../letters/1970/701124_kirtanananda.md|Letter to Kirtanananda, 1970]] - [[../../letters/1971/711124_locana.md|Letter to Locana, 1971]] - [[../../letters/1973/731124_kirtanananda.md|Letter to Kirtanananda, 1973]] - [[../../letters/1973/731124_minister_in_charge_of_immigration.md|Letter to Minister In Charge Of Immigration, 1973]] - [[../../letters/1974/741124_bhakta_dasa.md|Letter to Bhakta Dasa, 1974]] - [[../../letters/1974/741124_kirtiraja_das_adhikary.md|Letter to Kirtiraja Das Adhikary, 1974]] - [[../../letters/1974/741124_pancadravida.md|Letter to Pancadravida, 1974]] - [[../../letters/1974/741124_sri_s.p._mandelia.md|Letter to Sri S.P.
