# November 22 ## Spoken on November 22 *Lectures from this day: 3 recordings* --- **[1972: Bhagavad-gītā 2.17](spoken/1972/721122bg.hyd)** > Therefore the only solution of the whole world problem is Kṛṣṇa consciousness. There is no other solution. The only solution. Kṛṣṇa consciousness means when people will be educated to understand that this planet does not belong to America or India and Africa; everything belongs... *Sarva-loka-maheśvaram,* as Kṛṣṇa says: "I am the proprietor of all the planets." When you understand this, that is Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Then there will be peace. > Therefore our... Of course, it is not possible that because the number of fools are greater. But still, as it is suggested in the *Bhagavad-gītā: yad yad ācarati śreṣṭhaḥ. Yad yad ācarati śreṣṭhas tat tad eva itaraḥ janaḥ.* If the so-called leaders, they become Kṛṣṇa conscious, they understand the philosophy, then others will follow. As at the present moment, because the leaders are foolish, blind, they have no spiritual knowledge, all the population of the world become godless. --- **[1974: Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 3.25.22](spoken/1974/741122sb.bom)** > So Kṛṣṇa also says, all *śāstra* says, that our only obligation is to the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and if we take to that process, then we are no more obliged to anyone. We are free. That is really freedom. How it is done? That is the almighty God's power. He can do that. Just like we have got practical experience: If a man is condemned to death, nobody can save him, by law. But if the president or the king excuses him, then he is saved. That we have got practical experience, king's mercy or the president's mercy. So if you actually surrender your everything, your life... *Prāṇair arthair dhiyā vācā.* We can sacrifice our life, our wealth—*prāṇa, artha.* We can sacrifice the intelligence. Everyone is intelligent. If he sacrifices... This is called *yajña.* If you sacri... You have got some intelligence. Everyone is intelligent how to make his sense gratification very nice. Even an ant knows how to gratify his senses. So you have to sacrifice that. Don't gratify your senses, but try to gratify Kṛṣṇa's senses. Then you are perfect. Then you are perfect. > That you have to learn from the *sādhu.* Because it is recommended in the..., that *sa eva sādhuṣu kṛtaḥ.* As much we are trying to gratify our senses and we have become attached to this material world—*prasaṅgam ajaraṁ pāśam.* We are becoming more and more entangled. The same thing, if we do for a *sādhu* or Kṛṣṇa... *Sādhu-guru-kṛṣṇa. Sādhu-śāstra-guru.* So *sādhu* is representative of Kṛṣṇa. Or Kṛṣṇa directly... *Sādhu* will never say that "You serve me." *Sādhu* will say, "Serve Kṛṣṇa." Therefore we have to approach Kṛṣṇa through *sādhu,* not directly. That is not... That is confirmed by Vaiṣṇava *ācārya,* Narottama dāsa: *chāḍiyā vaiṣṇava-sevā nistāra peyeche kebā.* You cannot directly approach Kṛṣṇa. You have to go through the media, the transparent via media of his representative. --- **[1976: Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 5.5.35](spoken/1976/761122sb.vrn)** > This material world is called *bhava-samudra. Bhava* means the repetition of birth and death. *Bhūtvā bhūtvā pralīyate*. This is called *bhava.* And that is like a *samudra,* great ocean. We can see by practical experience this outer space, the sky. You cannot have any limitation where it is beginning, where is end. Although we can see within our experience, but still, we cannot calculate. In our childhood we used to present a problem before our friends, that *eka thālā supurī gunte pāre nā vyāpārī*. Now, one plateful of betel nuts, but nobody can count. The betel nut You can see the sky is within your experience, but how many stars and planets are there, till now nobody has been able to count. It is unlimited. This is only one universe. There are millions and millions, universes. *Yasya prabhā prabhavato jagadaṇḍa-koṭi* [Bs. 5.40]. Within the *brahma-jyoti* there are innumerable *koṭi, jagadaṇḍa-koṭi.* And some of the portion is called material; some portion is called spiritual sky, *paravyoma.* But the whole spiritual and material sky is full of different planets, and each planet is full of living entities, *janākīrṇa.* This very word is used, *janākīrṇa,* not vacant, as these rascals are calculating that it is full of dust. > Actually it is not so. Every individual living entity is always individual. That is explained in the *Bhagavad-gītā.* The Kṛṣṇa said to Arjuna, "My dear Arjuna, we are individuals. In the past we were individuals, at the present we are individuals, and in the future we shall continue to be individuals." There is no question of oneness. Oneness means to agree to serve Kṛṣṇa. That is oneness. There is no disobedience. This is the recommended way to become Krishna Conscious in this age of Kali. In this age it is very difficult to become God Conscious, but if we receive the grace of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu who is the most merciful of all incarnations, as certified by Srila Rupa Goswami, then certainly we will be successful in our attempt for spiritual life.
