# September 28 *Lectures from this day: 5 recordings* --- **[[spoken/720928mw.la|Morning Walk — September 28, 1972, Los Angeles]]** **Prabhupāda:** ...they say that it is utopian. But when they speak of "We are going to send him round in a capsule, and it will reach, and after ten thousand years it will come out," are these not utopian? They will make a station, [indistinct] station, and petrol will be direct from here and [indistinct]. All these are practical or utopian? What is the opposite word of *utopian*? **Jayatīrtha:** Pragmatic means practical, and utopian means idealistic concept. [break] [indistinct] So many people are suffering here, famine, so many things, and they're spending so many millions of dollars. [indistinct] anyway. **Prabhupāda:** So you take it your things as fact, we take our fact. Why do you say my things utopian, yours fact? Similarly, I can say my fact, your utopian. --- **[[spoken/720928sb.la|SB 1.3.23 — September 28, 1972, Los Angeles]]** **Prabhupāda:** [*Govindam* prayers playing; sings along] [leads singing of *Jaya Rādhā-Mādhava*] [*prema-dhvani*] Thank you very much.**Devotees:** All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda. **[devotees offer obeisances] [break]Pradyumna: *Oṁ namo bhagavate vāsudevāya. Oṁ namo bhagavate vāsudevāya. Oṁ namo bhagavate vāsudevāya.* *Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam,* First Canto, Chapter Three, text number 23. [leads chanting of verse] [**Prabhupāda and **devotees repeat] --- **[[spoken/730928bg.bom|Bg 13.5 — September 28, 1973, Bombay]]** **Prabhupāda:** > ...bahudhā gītaṁ > chandobhir vividhaiḥ pṛthak > brahma-sūtra-padaiś caiva > hetumadbhir viniścitaiḥ > [[bg/13/5|[Bg. 13.5] ]] Yesterday we were discussing *tat kṣetram, kṣetram,* this body, how we enter into different types of bodies, how it is obtained. There are 8,400,000 forms of body according to the qualities. Three qualities: three multiplied by three, it becomes nine; nine multiplied by nine, it becomes eighty-one. So at least, in the lower grades of forms, there are eighty-one *lakhs,* or 8,100,000, and above that, about 400,000 forms of human being. So one has to understand. Unfortunately, people are so foolish at the present moment that they do not believe even in the next life. *Mūḍha.* What to speak of understanding God and Kṛṣṇa, they have no even the basic principle of spiritual knowledge. Basic principle of spiritual knowledge is to understand that "I am not this body. I am spirit soul. I am now fallen in this material condition, and therefore, according to my different desires, I am accepting different types of bodies and wandering throughout the whole universe—sometimes this body, sometimes that body, sometimes in this planet, sometimes in other planet. This has become my unfortunate condition of life." --- **[[spoken/740928sb.may|SB 1.8.18 — September 28, 1974, Māyāpur]]** **Nitāi:** *Oṁ namo bhagavate vāsudevāya.* *Oṁ namo bhagavate vāsudevāya.* [devotees repeat] [leads chanting of verse, etc.] **[break] Prabhupāda:** Now, you editor, I think it has to be corrected. *Tvā* means "You." It is not "although." Read. --- **[[spoken/760928sb.vrn|SB 1.7.34-35 — September 28, 1976, Vṛndāvana]]** **Pradyumna:*Oṁ namo bhagavate vāsudevāya. Oṁ namo bhagavate vāsudevāya.
