**Translation:** "If, however, you think that the soul is perpetually born and always dies, still you have no reason to lament, O mighty-armed."
**Prabhupāda:** > atha cainaṁ nitya-jātaṁ > nityaṁ vā manyase mṛtam > tathāpi tvaṁ mahā-bāho > nainaṁ śocitum arhasi > [[bg/2/26|[Bg. 2.26] ]]

**Prabhupada:** [Transl. If we want, there is no power in this world that can check our devotional service to the Supreme Lord.
So in this way, if someone is engages in pure devotional service then the soul becomes very blissful. That is why the Lord says, *jñānaṁ te 'haṁ sa-vijñānam*, [[bg/7/2|[Bg. 7.2] ]] "the knowledge that I am imparting to you, it is not impersonal Brahman realization. This is Bhagavān realization." Impersonal Brahman realization, that is for liberation. And this knowledge that the Lord is imparting is for the liberated, for those who are already liberated. That is why He says, *jñānaṁ te 'haṁ sa-vijñānam,* along with scientific knowledge. *sa-vijñānam* means [I forget the word in Hindi] practical application or practical knowledge, not just theoretical. Having just theoretical knowledge, *Ahaṁ* *brahmāsmi*, this is knowledge that, I am not a material substance, I am not this material body, I am Brahman. *Brahma-bhūtaḥ prasannātmā*, [[bg/18/54|[Bg. 18.54] ]] if we have this self-realization, the soul definitely becomes blissful because all the miseries are due to our material knowledge. So long we go on accepting a material body we will always be full of anxiety. Prahlada Mahārāja has said,
So long we have this material body we will always be, samudvigna, full of anxiety. Once we come into the realm of actual knowledge this anxiety *udvignatā* will be destroyed. If this anxiety is destroyed but we do not make further advancement... Just like if a man is suffering from fever and the fever subsides, but though the fever has subsided that does not mean he has become healthy. Only if he gets out of the bed, walks around, eats properly and feels good only then can we say that he is healthy. Just to get rid of fever is not the goal. Similarly if we just acquire knowledge, *Ahaṁ* *brahmāsmi*, I am spirit, I am not this material body, this is not sufficient knowledge. That is why the Lord says,

**Akṣayānanda:** Yes. I am considering to become the temple commander myself, because it's not the first time this has happened. So many things have gone wrong. Too many. So I think I will do it myself.
**Gopāla Kṛṣṇa:** Tell him that we had heard he had come and you are free now, so he can... Tell him what time.
**Gopāla Kṛṣṇa:** ...celebration there. The education minister is also coming. He is going to be the chief guest. So we are going to have this time two big ministers coming to our *Janmāṣṭamī paṇḍāl.*

**Girirāja:** And then in the temple itself they're starting to fix the carved marble on these columns, and it's just getting very exciting. Then on the gate they're starting to put the domes. And yesterday Saurabha and I went to see some samples of furniture, very attractive furniture. So we're going to make a model room.
**Girirāja:** We're going to fix one of the rooms on the first floor with all the furnishings, and everything just as it will be when the building is complete. But there is still other work going on. So it couldn't be used for living, but it will look just like a finished room. And Acyutānanda Swami is doing very nicely. Yes. He attends *maṅgala-ārati* every morning, he gives class in the temple in the morning and in the evening. And we're having a lot of programs at Rotary clubs, Lion's clubs, colleges and universities.
**Girirāja:** *Mandiras.* And distributing literature. Well, the final lift in the building will still take until December, and then so far as another lift for your present quarters...

Ṛṣabhadeva was the father of Mahārāja Bharata. Mahārāja Bharata, by whose name this planet is called Bhāratavarṣa. His father Ṛṣabhadeva was an incarnation of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. He was instructing His sons before retirement. Previously people used to retire. Whether he was a king, or especially *brāhmaṇas*, *kṣatriyas* and *vaiśyas*. Particularly the *brāhmaṇas* and the *kṣatriyas* used to retire. Nowadays nobody retires. That is not Vedic system. Vedic system means *varnāśrama*. That which is going on now in the name of Hindu-*dharma* has simply become hodgepodge. The real thing is *varṇāśrama-dharma*. And what is the purpose of *varṇāśrama-dharma*? To worship the Supreme Personality of Godhead.

Nirañjana: I am not well, actually, because neither materially nor spiritually there. I reckon I should go back, with your permission.
Nirañjana: And if you think... Because I was thinking that in my case it may be helpful in preaching there. But too long everything.
Nirañjana: No, actually they are not able to understand what I am doing. So my supervisors... In the beginning, when I met you last time, at that time you said everything is okay, you can start typing those chapters. So I wrote two chapters. And then you said anything can happen, because in the area in which I work, nobody had worked before. And he was so sure.
