He was in violent feature. So he's requesting, "My dear Lord," *sarve hy amī vidhi-karās tava sattva-dhāmno,* "now, all these demigods, they are Your assistants, and they are situated in transcendental position." *Sattva-dhāmno. Sattvaṁ viśuddhaṁ vāsudeva-śabditam.* Our situation are differently calculated. Not that every one of us is situated on the same platform. On the material platform, we are situated in three different positions: *sattva-raja-tama. Sattva* means goodness, *raja* means passion and *tama* means ignorance or darkness. So, so long we are in the material platform, the highest positional situation is in the modes of goodness. --- **[[../../spoken/1971/710821rc.lon.md|Room Conversation — August 21, 1971, London]]** *[Lecture file not found]* --- **[[spoken/720821sb.la|SB 1.2.18 — August 21, 1972, Los Angeles]]** **[*Govindam* prayers playing] [Prabhup**ā**da sings along] Prabhupāda:** [**sings *Jaya Rādhā-Mādhava*]* [indistinct] *M*ṛdaṅga*.* [*prema-dhvani*]* Thank you very much. **Devotees:** All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda. "Is best," it should be "the best," not "is best" "The best." It is address, not nominative. Go on. --- **[[spoken/730821di.lon|Śrī Śrī Rādhā Gokulānanda Deity Installation, Brahmā-saṁhitā 5.43 — August 21, 1973, London]]** *Goloka-nāmni nija-dhāmni.* There is a planet in the spiritual world... The material world, you can see the material sky, limit of the sky, the horizon, but you are not able to reach even the moon planet, the nearest planet. But within this universe, within this horizon, there are innumerable planets. *Aśeṣa. Yasya prabhā prabhavato jagad-aṇḍa-koṭi koṭiṣv aśeṣa-vasudhādi vibhūti-bhinnam* [Bs. 5.40]. By the shining effulgence from the body of Kṛṣṇa... That is called *brahma-jyoti.* Within that *brahma-jyoti,* or effulgence, there are innumerable universes. *Ananta-koṭi. Yasya prabhā prabhavato jagad-aṇḍa-koṭi. Koṭi* means innumerable. One million... Ten millions equal to one *lakh.* Such hundred *lakhs* makes a *koṭi.* So actually we see there are innumerable planets, but beyond this creation... This is material creation, one-fourth manifestation, one-fourth manifestation of God's creation, this, this material world. --- **[[spoken/730821jm.lon|Janmāṣṭamī Lecture — August 21, 1973, London]]** His Excellency, the High Commissioner; ladies and gentlemen, I thank you very much for your coming here and participating in this ceremony, Janmāṣṭamī, advent of Kṛṣṇa. The subject matter I've been ordered to speak on is advent of Kṛṣṇa. --- **[[spoken/750821r1.bom|Room Conversation with Lalita Bose — August 21, 1975, Bombay]]** **Prabhupāda:** [Transl. ...What they say is correct. Alone how much can I preach? So many things are accomplished by them. And we are practically showing. Therefore this mission should be supported, and if she understands this then whole India will be benefitted and the whole world will be benefitted. That is sure. It is not something bogus. It is] exactly what Kṛṣṇa has said. Our mission... [Transl. We have no other mission. Caitanya Mahāprabhu has said,] *Yāre dekha, tāre kaha 'kṛṣṇa'-upadeśa* [[cc/madhya/7/128|[Cc. Madhya 7.128] ]]. That's all. If you speak what Kṛṣṇa has instructed, you become *guru*. But if you make your own concoction, own invention, then...* [Transl. you will fail. Whatever success we have achieved is because of that.] I don't speak any nonsense; except the instruction given in the *Bhagavad-gītā*. That is my credit. That's all. People say that I have done wonderful, but I do not know any magic. The wonderful thing I have done is that I don't speak any nonsense thing.* [Transl. This much I can say with confidence.] **Prabhupāda:** No, what I learn from Kṛṣṇa I say. I don't see independently. That is not my business. That is Caitanya Mahāprabhu's instruction. [break] How? *Āmāra ājñāya guru hañā tāra' ei deśa* [[cc/madhya/7/128|[Cc. Madhya 7.128] ]]. You deliver your village people and become a *guru*. Everyone is not going to be so big that he can go all over the world. But everyone can teach within his limit—within his family, within his community, within his village, within his town, within his district. As he is capable, he can increase. But everyone can become a *guru* and deliver the local people. How? *Yāre dekha, tāre kaha 'kṛṣṇa'-upadeśa*. Then you are *guru*. As soon as you manufacture anything nonsense, then it is spoiled. That is going on. So many *gurus* are there; they are manufacturing. They are becoming Kṛṣṇa. **Prabhupāda:** That is nonsense. That is nonsense. You cannot become Kṛṣṇa. *Īśvaraḥ sarva-bhūtānāṁ hṛd-deśe 'rjuna tiṣṭhati* [[bg/18/61|[Bg. 18.61] ]]. [Transl. The Supreme Lord is situated in everyone's heart.] [break] Can you stay in everyone's heart? You are claiming God. This one instance: *īśvaraḥ sarva-bhūtānāṁ hṛdeśe 'rjuna tiṣṭhati*. He is *aṇḍāntara-sthaṁ-paramāṇu-cayāntara-sthaṁ* [Bs. 5.35]. He is within this universe, and He is within the atom. You are claiming to be *īśvara*, God. Are you within the atom? Are you within your heart..., er, everyone's heart? Then how do you claim that you are *īśvara*? Practical. *Īśvaraḥ sarva-bhūtānāṁ*. *Īśvara*, God, God is everyone's heart. *Sarvasya cāhaṁ hṛdi sanniviṣṭhaḥ* [[bg/15/15|[Bg. 15.15] ]]. [Transl. So these things are to be learned and understood. Actually if we mold our lives on the basis of *Bhagavad-gītā* and people also mold their lives like that then the whole humanity will be happy.] And as soon as you manufacture something, then it is spoiled.* [Transl. This should be conveyed to her.] That is going on. The so-called *gurus*, they get some mystic power, *yoga-siddhi*, and they show it and they mislead people that he is God. That is the difficulty.* [Transl. We never say...One book...Where is that book? One book has been published that gurus...] [aside:] Again he has to go? [Transl. They have written about me also and others also. It costs 40 rupees! And they are selling! That includes others' life sketches like when they took birth there was an illumination outside and light within the womb and so on. They did so many miracles, like that. And about me they wrote that I am holding the palm of a boy and teaching him how to write A, Ā. [The first two alphabets of Bengali language.] This is about me! They didn't write anything like when I was born there was an effulgence, and this had happened, that had happened.] So far as I am concerned, these things are not there. About me, I am... In Dallas I am taking one child's hand and I am teaching them how to write *a, ā*. [Transl. There is no use of showing miracles. Magic, miracles will not do.] --- **[[spoken/760821r1.hyd|Room Conversation — August 21, 1976, Hyderabad]]** **Prabhupāda:** Part of the money is contribution for construction of my house. Ten thousand. Ten thousand dollars? **Prabhupāda:** I am writing one letter to the government that I work hard, I print my books and they are selling, and if I bring the money to construct temple, why people are envious? What is the wrong there? Rather, I should be encouraged that I am bringing so much money in India, foreign exchange, by my hard labor. So why they are envious? Why... I have sent this to the governor. **Prabhupāda:** Governor, Mr. Channa Reddy. "Why? Wherefrom they are getting money? Where? why?" That is my money by hard labor, that's all. Is it wrong if a man works hard and gets money in foreign country and bring in India? --- **[[spoken/760821r2.hyd|Room Conversation About Blitz News Clipping — August 21, 1976, Hyderabad]]** **Prabhupāda:** What is wrong there? They will have the association. And send all these newspaper quotations about us in Hyderabad... **Pradyumna:** [reading article] "In point, in Bombay, a huge plot was acquired in Juhu for rupees fourteen *lakhs.* They have put up a temple there with a barbed wire fence around it." **Pradyumna:** They just put things to make it seem like we're...
