That's all. --- **[[spoken/730815bg.lon|Bg 2.9 — August 15, 1973, London]]** **Pradyumna:** **Translation: "Sañjaya said: Having spoken thus, Arjuna, chastiser of enemies, told Kṛṣṇa, 'Govinda, I shall not fight,' and fell silent."* [[bg/2/9|[Bg. 2.9] ]] **Prabhupāda:** In the previous verse, Arjuna said that "There is no profit in this fighting, because the other side, they are all my relatives, kinsmen, and by killing them, even if I become victorious, so what is the value?" That we have explained, that such kind of renouncement sometimes takes place in ignorance. Actually, it is not very much intelligently placed. So in this way, *evam uktvā,* "saying this, 'So there is no profit in fighting,' " *evam uktvā,* "saying this," *hṛṣīkeśam...* He is speaking to the master of the senses. And in previous verse he has said, *śiṣyas te 'haṁ prapannam* *[[bg/2/7|[Bg. 2.7] ]]: "I am Your surrendered disciple." So Kṛṣṇa becomes *guru,* and Arjuna becomes the disciple. Formerly they were talking as friends. But friendly talking cannot decide any serious question. When there is some serious matter, it must be spoken between authorities. --- **[[spoken/740815bg.vrn|Bg 7.9 — August 15, 1974, Vṛndāvana]]** **Pradyumna:** "I am the original fragrance of the earth, and I am the heat in fire. I am the life of all that lives, and I am the penances of all ascetics."* [[bg/7/9|[Bg. 7.9] ]] **Prabhupāda:** So Kṛṣṇa is describing how He is spread everywhere, in details. In the beginning, before this verse, He has mentioned in so many ways. So we can see Kṛṣṇa in every step and every moment. If we practice to see Kṛṣṇa, it is not difficult. Whenever there is fragrance... Just like rose flower, beauty and fragrance, you can immediately remember Kṛṣṇa, "Here is Kṛṣṇa." Simply we have to practice it. So as soon as you remember Kṛṣṇa or you say or utter the word "Kṛṣṇa," immediately Kṛṣṇa contacts you. You are in contact with Kṛṣṇa immediately. And if you remain constantly in contact with Kṛṣṇa by studying all these detail, then where is the lack of Kṛṣṇa consciousness? And if you remain always in that way, Kṛṣṇa conscious, then you are the topmost *yogī.* *Yoginām api sarveṣām* [[bg/6/47|[Bg. 6.47] ]]. Very easy. It is not at all difficult. Simply you have to practice. As soon as there is nice fragrance, nice flower... In another place it is said that the nice flower, or any flower that is fructified, there is blooming, that is smiling, smiling of Kṛṣṇa. So you can see Kṛṣṇa smiling as soon as you see a flower. --- **[[spoken/750815mw.bom|Morning Walk — August 15, 1975, Bombay]]** **Prabhupāda:** Three *lakhs* gone. [break] ...from Mrs. Nair. From her this transaction was completed. Whether Municipality finished this transaction by paying competitive... Simply by marking is not conclusion of the business. [break] If they want it... [break] Gopāla **Kṛṣṇa:** Their value is increasing due to our temple also, because now they advertise in the papers, "Next to Hare Kṛṣṇa *mandir.*" **Girirāja:** Even Mhatre wants to make a school here, and he put a map, and in the map is "Hare Kṛṣṇa *mandir.*" --- **[[spoken/760815ed.bom|Evening Darśana — August 15, 1976, Bombay]]** **Prabhupāda:** So mind, his business is to think something. But ordinarily the thinking is we accept something and reject something. Or accept the same thing and again reject the same thing. This business is going on. But if you think of question, there is no question of rejecting. Simply accepting. Then it is fixed up. Other things you accept and reject. Something we accept as "Oh, it is very good." Again, "No, no, it is not good." Accepting. Childish. Child is playing, one type of playing, "No, no, another one." That is material. And when you fix up—no rejection, simply accept it—that is Kṛṣṇa... So if you think of Kṛṣṇa... Just like here is temple. If you come and, as other devotees are doing, if you do, if you attend *maṅgala-ārati,* if you attend *bhoga-ārati,* always see, then offer obeisances, then naturally you will think of Kṛṣṇa always. Then as you think of Kṛṣṇa, you become purified. Just like if you touch with fire you remain always warm. Similarly, *man-manā,* if you always think of Kṛṣṇa, you gradually become fully Kṛṣṇa-ized, Kṛṣṇa's devotee, Kṛṣṇa's servant. That is perfection. There is no difficulty. People will not do that. That is the difficulty. "Why shall I think of Kṛṣṇa? I shall think of this, I shall think of that." This is the difficulty. Otherwise not difficulty. You have to think something; think of Kṛṣṇa. That's all. Finished. **Prabhupāda:** [Transl. No prejudice. Nothing. We are stubborn. We won't do it. This is our mischief.] *Na māṁ duṣkṛtino mūḍhāḥ prapadyante narādhamāḥ* [[bg/7/15|[Bg. 7.15] ]]. Duṣkṛtinaḥ.* [Transl. Wicked. Rascal. They won't do only. Just like a child, he won't listen to anyone. However nicely you tell him he will not do it. Rascal. He should be beaten by shoes. That's all. Māyā fixes him by shoes.] *Prabhupāda:*[Transl. *That's the thing. He won't do, so māyā forces him to do it by beating with shoes repeatedly.] Daivī hy eṣā guṇa-mayī mama māyā duratyayā* [[bg/7/14|[Bg. 7.14] ]]. [Transl. Having been beaten by shoes, he comes to his senses. That is his remedy.] Beating with shoes by *māyā,* that's all. [Transl. This is *māyā's* job. To trash nicely. In this way suffer miseries life after life. Life after life.]* [Lady enters] --- **[[spoken/760815mw.bom|Morning Walk — August 14, 1976, Bombay]]** **Gopāla Kṛṣṇa:** Yes, you can't go more than that. This is near the airport. Now they've introduced a new law that you can't go even below this. What we did is the new law has just come into effect, and so we did the slabs in the night. **Gopāla Kṛṣṇa:** There's a new law which reduces the height even further. You can't have any big buildings in Bombay now. **Gopāla Kṛṣṇa:** I don't know the reason, but apparently it's Indira Gandhi doesn't like big buildings. So actually, according to the new law we have already built more than what the legal limit is. So what we did... --- ## Letters - [[../../letters/1967/670815_brahmananda.md|Letter to Brahmananda, 1967]] - [[../../letters/1967/670815_hansadutta.md|Letter to Hansadutta, 1967]] - [[../../letters/1969/690815_krsna_dasa.md|Letter to Krsna Dasa, 1969]] - [[../../letters/1969/690815_madhudvisa.md|Letter to Madhudvisa, 1969]] - [[../../letters/1970/700815_karandhara.md|Letter to Karandhara, 1970]] - [[../../letters/1970/700815_vasudeva.md|Letter to Vasudeva, 1970]] - [[../../letters/1971/710815_damodara_patita_pavana_michael_tom_emily_tosana_roset_mrganetri_gulab_patrick_others.md|Letter to Damodara Patita Pavana Michael Tom Emily Tosana Roset Mrganetri Gulab Patrick Others, 1971]] - [[../../letters/1971/710815_gurudasa.md|Letter to Gurudasa, 1971]] - [[../../letters/1971/710815_indira.md|Letter to Indira, 1971]] - [[../../letters/1971/710815_iskcon_amsterdam.md|Letter to Iskcon Amsterdam, 1971]] - [[../../letters/1971/710815_iskcon_boston_devotees.md|Letter to Iskcon Boston Devotees, 1971]] - [[../../letters/1971/710815_iskcon_boulder_devotees.md|Letter to Iskcon Boulder Devotees, 1971]] - [[../../letters/1971/710815_iskcon_calcutta_devotees.md|Letter to Iskcon Calcutta Devotees, 1971]] - [[../../letters/1971/710815_iskcon_cleveland_devotees.md|Letter to Iskcon Cleveland Devotees, 1971]] - [[../../letters/1971/710815_iskcon_detroit_sons_and_daughters.md|Letter to Iskcon Detroit Sons And Daughters, 1971]] - [[../../letters/1971/710815_iskcon_hamburg_devotees.md|Letter to Iskcon Hamburg Devotees, 1971]] - [[../../letters/1971/710815_iskcon_l.a._devotees.md|Letter to Iskcon L.A.
