Yes, I have seen. I have read them, but the *Bhagavad-gītā* I have not yet received. **Prof. Regamay:** But first I would like to express my thanks that you gave me this honor to receive me. So I have different questions, because I'm in such a difficult situation that I have many Indian doctrines, and there was some difficulty because I know them only through the books, without the *guru.* And, for instance, one of the first questions I have to put: *Viṣṇu Purāṇa,* it's very similar and very coincidental to the *Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam.* **Prabhupāda:** Yes, *Viṣṇu Purāṇa* is Vaiṣṇava literature. There are eighteen *Purāṇas.* Out of eighteen, six are *sāttvika,* and six are *rājasika,* and six are *tāmasika.* The *sāttvika Purāṇas,* they are Vaiṣṇava literature: *Viṣṇu Purāṇa, Brahmāṇḍa Purāṇa, Bhāgavata Purāṇa, Padma Purāṇa.* --- **[[spoken/740604r2.gen|Room Conversation with Biochemist Dr. Sallaz — June 4, 1974, Geneva]]** **Dr. Sallaz:** I'm still working, because I have to entertain with money. [laughs] In our world you cannot do anything without money. But what may interest you it is that we have several member who are looking for truth, for the really truth, and trying to attain it and to follow it. And for this reason, it is said to go only according the scientific organization officials, so on, we went in quite revolutionary ways. For instance, we took all biology coming from the energetic point of view, which is quite different. Not with the microscope, not with chemical analysis, but with the thinking that everything is only immaterial reaction. And with this we achieved extraordinary result. So we have looked at the official world as completely fooled. **Yogeśvara:** [to **Prabhupāda**] Are you able to understand when he speaks? I can repeat if you like. He explains that the group that he is heading up is a little bit revolutionary in the biological field. Instead of taking biology from the point of view of chemical, microscopic analysis, they take biology from the point of view of energetic, that is to say, everything being energy, stemming from some source, that everything is energy. --- **[[spoken/740604sb.gen|SB 1.13.15 — June 4, 1974, Geneva]]** **Nitāi:** *Oṁ namo bhagavate vāsudevāya. Oṁ namo bhagavate vāsudevāya.* [devotees repeat] [leads chanting of verse, etc.] "As long as Vidura played the part of a śūdra, being cursed by Maṇḍūka Muni, Aryamā officiated at the post of Yamarāja to punish those who committed sinful acts." --- **[[spoken/750604mw.hon|Morning Walk at Waikiki Beach — June 4, 1975, Honolulu]]** **Śrutakīrti:** [introducing recording] The following conversation takes place on **Śrīla Prabhupāda**'s morning walk on June 4th, 1975, at Waikiki Beach, Hawaii.Prabhupāda: ...saw the question paper, he cannot answer. So he began to write words like this, whole book, and the examiners saw that it has no meaning. But he has coined so many words, they said, "Very intelligent." They passed him. [laughter] Now, "hopperfluous." You don't find all these words in dictionary. "Hopperfluous rain of Akbar was dogbendikulali gondolized by lacticism of wine." [laughs. talks gibberish] It appears very grammatically nice composed, but it has no meaning. So he coined such words, a full book. Because he could not answer. So the time was there. He began to coin words. And he was passed, [laughs] for his intelligence. Similarly, these people are putting words which you cannot understand, and they are getting their salaries, that's all. [break] Invent something that they will not die, there will be no disease, there will be no old age. That is something. What is this nonsense, simply speculating? [break] Cloud is standing there. It is not systematic. Then why the gravitation is not working? There are millions and millions tons of water. Why the gravitation is not working? The law of gravitation, why it is not working? [aside:] Hmm. Don't walk with a rod. What is the answer? They are not systematic changing. Why? Why the gravitation is not working, fall down? They are heavy, very heavy when they, what is called... Agitation. What is called? **Prabhupāda:** So why it is not working in all heights? Then what is their theory? If it is working under certain condition, who made this condition? [break] ...the nature, "Now you get down these islands. Get the water," can they do that? **Prabhupāda:** Then how they can control? [break] ...Kṛṣṇa wants, immediately this land, by earthquake, can go down, immediately, within a second. So in the Vedic literature nature is accepted. But the creation, maintenance, destruction, that is in the hand of God, not nature. [break] --- **[[spoken/760604iv.la|Room Conversation with Reporter — June 4, 1976, Los Angeles]]** **Reporter:** I wonder if you can tell me a little bit about your routine. I understand that you only sleep about two or three hours a day. And do you usually sleep during the middle of the daytime as well? **Prabhupāda:** No. I..., my work is going on. By traveling also, I carry this machine, Dictate..., Dictaphone. I dictate, and then my assistants, they write, transcribe, and then it is..., it goes to the Press. In this way my work is going on. [noises coming from outside] **Reporter:** I'd like to ask one... Is your role in the Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement in the United States particularly or worldwide? Ten years ago, when you first came to the United States, did you take a very active role in the organization, and I'm wondering whether you do much of that now? --- **[[spoken/760604mw.la|Morning Walk — June 4, 1976, Los Angeles]]** **Prabhupāda:** ...you say everything is created. He is created, this rascal who is saying there is no creator, he's also created. So where he gets this idea, there is no creator? **Prabhupāda:** Animal also knows that he's created by another dog. Otherwise why the little, what is called, cub, puppy, goes up to the mother? **Rāmeśvara:** They don't have..., the reason they don't have an idea is because before you came to America, the understanding of the science of God was presented on a kindergarten level, the *Bible.* So it did not satisfy their scientific mind. So because before you came to give them the *Bhagavad-gītā* and *Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam,* they had no information, and they did not accept the Christian version. --- **[[spoken/760604sb.la|SB 6.1.38 — June 4, 1976, Los Angeles]]** **Pradyumna:Translation:** "The blessed messengers of Lord Viṣṇu, the Viṣṇudūtas, said: If you are actually servants of Yamarāja, you must explain to us the meaning of religious principles and the symptoms of irreligion." **Prabhupāda:** > śrī viṣṇudūtā ūcuḥ > yūyaṁ vai dharma-rājasya > yadi nirdeśa-kāriṇaḥ > brūta dharmasya nas tattvaṁ > yac cādharmasya lakṣaṇam > [[sb/6/1/38|[SB. 6.1.38] ]] They challenged, the Yamadūtas challenged: "Who are you, interfering in our business? We have come to arrest him." So, before talking, the..., the counterchallenge was that "You spoke that 'We are servants of Dharmarāja. So it is his jurisdiction. This person is impious. So this is the jurisdiction of Dharmarāja. He has to try the case and give him punishment, criminal department, law and order. So you cannot interfere with us.' " Therefore the challenge is replied by Viṣṇudūta that "If you are actually representative of Dharmarāja, who tries the case of *dharma* and *adharma,* first of all explain what is *dharma* and what is *adharma.*" --- ## Letters - [[../../letters/1969/690604_prabhas_babu.md|Letter to Prabhas Babu, 1969]] - [[../../letters/1970/700604_gurudasa.md|Letter to Gurudasa, 1970]] - [[../../letters/1970/700604_jadurani_bharadraja_muralidhara.md|Letter to Jadurani Bharadraja Muralidhara, 1970]] - [[../../letters/1970/700604_joanne_connie.md|Letter to Joanne Connie, 1970]] - [[../../letters/1970/700604_krsna_dasa.md|Letter to Krsna Dasa, 1970]] - [[../../letters/1970/700604_satsvarupa.md|Letter to Satsvarupa, 1970]] - [[../../letters/1970/700604_yamuna_and_gurudas.md|Letter to Yamuna And Gurudas, 1970]] - [[../../letters/1974/740604_bhakta_dasa.md|Letter to Bhakta Dasa, 1974]] - [[../../letters/1974/740604_hrdayananda.md|Letter to Hrdayananda, 1974]] - [[../../letters/1974/740604_sri_ballavh.md|Letter to Sri Ballavh, 1974]] - [[../../letters/1975/750604_gopala_krsna.md|Letter to Gopala Krsna, 1975]] - [[../../letters/1975/750604_pranava.md|Letter to Pranava, 1975]] - [[../../letters/1975/750604_satsvarupa.md|Letter to Satsvarupa, 1975]] - [[../../letters/1976/760604_bhagavan.md|Letter to Bhagavan, 1976]] - [[../../letters/1976/760604_dr._bishnu_prasad_mukherjee.md|Letter to Dr. Bishnu Prasad Mukherjee, 1976]] - [[../../letters/1976/760604_gopavrndesa.md|Letter to Gopavrndesa, 1976]] - [[../../letters/1976/760604_gurudasa.md|Letter to Gurudasa, 1976]] - [[../../letters/1976/760604_jayasacinandana.md|Letter to Jayasacinandana, 1976]] - [[../../letters/1976/760604_mr._raja_sajid_husain.md|Letter to Mr. Raja Sajid Husain, 1976]] - [[../../letters/1976/760604_narayana.md|Letter to Narayana, 1976]] - [[../../letters/1976/760604_purusottama.md|Letter to Purusottama, 1976]] - [[../../letters/1976/760604_sridhara.md|Letter to Sridhara, 1976]]
