Morning Walk
Prabhupāda: Just see. It is a country… People are not bad. I have seen. They are very nice. The government, the rascals, a few men who are controlling the government, they are all rogues and thieves. The same thing in India. Everywhere the mass population, they are innocent. These rascals made them…, misleading. In Russia I have seen. The mass people, they are very nice. Andhā yathāndhair upanīyamānāḥ. They are innocent. In India also. The Pakistan happened due to these politicians. The Hindus, Muslims, they are innocent. They don’t fight. These politicians engaged them to fight artificially for their political ambition. The wars also declared nowadays, on account of the rascal politicians. The people do not want it.

So Kṛṣṇa is the friend, most intimate friend of the Pāṇḍavas. Therefore he says, naḥ. Naḥ means “our.” Suhṛdaḥ. Suhṛdaḥ, this word, “always thinking of others’ good,” that is called suhṛdaḥ. The heart is not contaminated. Hṛdaḥ means “heart,” and su means “very good.” So Kṛṣṇa says also that suhṛda sarva-bhūtānām. And here Yudhiṣṭhira Mahārāja confirms, naḥ suhṛdaḥ. Actually, Kṛṣṇa is suhṛda. Suhṛda means well-wisher. As the father is the well-wisher of the sons or intimate friend, well-wisher… Here in the material world, although I may be your well-wisher, you may be well-wisher, but there is some interest. Unless there is some interest for my personal benefit, I cannot become your suhṛda. This is material suhṛda. But spiritual suhṛda is different. Spiritual suhṛda means everyone is suffering for want of spiritual consciousness, Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Therefore attempt should be made so that everyone becomes Kṛṣṇa conscious. That is spiritual suhṛda.
Morning Walk in the Botanical Gardens
Prabhupāda: …say “This contains this chemical, that chemical, this chemical,” but he will never think, “Who has put this chemical?” That is his dullness. They will analyze and say, “It contains this chemical, that chemical, that…” And who has put this chemical? That they cannot say. Śrutakīrti: Very large trees. Prabhupāda: Oh, yes. Devotee (1): This big one? Prabhupāda: Maybe thousand years old. Devotee (1): It’s from Africa. Prabhupāda: African trees are like tall like this. Devotee (1): More than hundred years ago, 1850. One hundred years. It’s more than hundred years. Manasvī: This is that same one, they give red, different flowers. Prabhupāda: This is also African? Manasvī: No, they have in India this tree also. That gives red flowers? Devotee: The root is up to my head. Prabhupāda: And it was in a small seed. Prepare such seed, you chemist. How strong. [sound of knocking made by walking cane] [laughter] [break]

So here is a description of the residents of Vaikuṇṭha. Now, the fools and rascals will say this is a mythology. And Vyāsadeva, the compiler of the Vedic literature, he has presented this science by presenting our Vedic philosophy. [indistinct] It is not mythology; it is fact. Have you seen how the inhabitants of all the planets? How you can say? You have to take information from the right source, Vedic source. There are:, yasya prabhā prabhavato jagad-aṇḍa-koṭi-koṭiṣv aśeṣa… Yasya prabhā prabhavato jagad-aṇḍa-koṭi-koṭiṣv aśeṣa-vibhūti-bhinnam [Bs. 5.40]. God’s creation is so vast, you cannot estimate even what is the length and breadth of this universe. It is not possible. We have got information four millions of miles. And where is scientist [indistinct]? Everything is there. So how it is? We are not going by sputnik to measure it. We have got information from Vedic literature. And if you don’t agree, so how you can say there is no, because you have not measured it. You say you have measured by, what is called, telescope and other machinery. So what is this measuring? You are imperfect, and your machine must be imperfect. How you can measure or manufacture a perfect machine? It is not possible, because you are imperfect; your senses are imperfect. Although you have got your eyes, you cannot see which is situated a very long distance away. Just like you see the sun like a disc. Huh? So the sun is not like a disc if you get closer. It is ...
Discussions Will & Affidavit
Svarūpa Dāmodara: …this summer and he can come. We can provide free lodging and… Prabhupāda: Yes, everyone should be provided free lodging. Svarūpa Dāmodara: We can invite about two hundred guests and have a week-long conference. Prabhupāda: If they voluntarily give contribution, that’s all right. Otherwise we shall provide. We have got guesthouse. It is very nice. Even they do not pay, we shall pay. Svarūpa Dāmodara: We can make a scientific propaganda. And we can also do the same thing in Bombay. Bombay will be bigger. Prabhupāda: Therefore you have been trained up, [chuckles] for this purpose. [break] Girirāja: So we drafted a will, including the trust for the properties of India and some of the other… Prabhupāda: Will? Will, there will be direction that “Management should be done like this.” That’s all.
