The damsels imitated the characteristic movements of the Lord [after His disappearance from the rāsa dance]." --- **[[spoken/750522mw.mel|Morning Walk in Botanical Gardens — May 22, 1975, Melbourne]]** **Śrutakīrti:[introducing recording] **The following is Śrīla Prabhupāda's morning walk, which takes place in Melbourne, Australia, Botanical Gardens on May 22, 1975. [break] **Madhudviṣa:** And he was telling me that the house that you are living in, Prabhupāda House, was built in 1885. **Madhudviṣa:** 1885, and at that time it was the only house in the whole area for miles around. And it was built by one judge called Morritt, Judge Morritt. And it was the only house in... They called it "Morritt's folly," "Morritt's folly," because it was built on the sand, and no one thought it could stand for so long. It was built... Because this whole area here was sand, it was all beach, and it was the only house there, and he had stables and very extensive holdings there. --- **[[spoken/750522r1.mel|Room Conversation with Two Lawyers and Photographer — May 22, 1975, Melbourne]]** **Madhudviṣa:** ...who are here, they would like to have your association, [laughter] more personal association. **Prabhupāda:** I also like. [laughter] *Yasya prasādād bhagavat-prasādo yasyāprasādān na gatiḥ kuto 'pi.* This is essential, to be anxious to be associated with the spiritual master. *Guru-kṛṣṇa-kṛpāya pāya bhakti-latā-bīja* [[cc/madhya/19/151|[Cc. Madhya 19.151] ]]. That is the statement of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu. By the mercy of Kṛṣṇa one comes in touch with the bona fide spiritual master, and by the mercy of spiritual master, one gets Kṛṣṇa. So Kṛṣṇa is in everyone's heart. *Īśvaraḥ sarva-bhūtānām* [[bg/18/61|[Bg. 18.61] ]]. Kṛṣṇa can understand what we want. So when we sincerely want Kṛṣṇa, then Kṛṣṇa sends His representative, *guru. Guru* is outside representative of Kṛṣṇa. So to the sincere student, Kṛṣṇa teaches from inside and outside. That is the way, so that he becomes quickly fit for going back to home, back to Godhead. So this behavior, to be attached to spiritual master, is a good qualification. *Yasya prasādāt,* by his mercy, Kṛṣṇa becomes merciful. By Kṛṣṇa's mercy, one gets spiritual master, and by the spiritual master's mercy, one gets the mercy of Kṛṣṇa. --- **[[spoken/750522r2.mel|Room Conversation with Raymond Lopez, Wally Strobes, Bob Bourne — May 22, 1975, Melbourne]]** **Madhudviṣa:** ...one of our very dear friends, Raymond Lopez. He is a barrister and a visitor who has helped us out tremendously with some of the legal dealings that we've had here in Melbourne. And also this is Mr. Wally Strobes, he has also helped us out and given us good guidance. And this is Bob Bourne, he is a photographer who has... He has taken that nice picture of the Deities that I have brought to Māyāpur festival. **Madhudviṣa:** Very nice. So he has taken many photographs for us. And we are particularly indebted to Wally and Raymond for giving us a lot of good guidance in our dealings with the police. And one time we had one incident about three years ago, when some of the boys were a little enthusiastic about Ratha-yātrā festival, and they went out and they picked many flowers illegally. So they were caught. **Madhudviṣa:** So they were found out and caught. But Raymond was able to get them off free due to Kṛṣṇa's mercy. But it taught us a good lesson. --- **[[spoken/750522sb.mel|SB 6.1.1-2 — May 22, 1975, Melbourne]]** **Prabhupāda:** ...*mo bhagavate vāsudevāya. Oṁ namo bhagavate vāsudevāya.* [devotees chant responsively]. So we were discussing last night about *nivṛtti-mārga,* the opposite direction of progressing towards hellish condition of life, that by nature's own way the living entity comes to the human form of body by the evolutionary process. That we have already discussed. There are 900,000's forms in the water. Then there are two millions forms of trees, plants. And *jalajā nava-lakṣāni sthāvarā lakṣa-viṁśati* [*Padma Purāṇa*]. Then insects, moths and flies, like that, they are 1,100,000 forms. Then birds, one millions forms. Then beast, three million forms. And then human being, civilized or not civilized, there are 400,000. This is the total number of different forms of life. The living entity, spirit soul, is the same, but they are passing through different forms of life. Just like I am the same man. I have passed through my babyhood body, my childhood body, my youthhood body. Now I have come to another body. So it is a fact that I was staying in a baby's body. Now it is another body. A very simple thing, that we are changing body, but I am, the soul, the same. We have to understand this thing. The evolution is going on. Now, by nature's law the evolution brings you to a nice body, civilized human body, with higher consciousness. But if we utilize this higher consciousness simply for constructing very high skyscraper buildings and do not know what form of body I am going to accept next, that is not very good intelligence. My business is that by nature's evolutionary process I have come to this human form of life. Now I have got good intelligence, better than the animals. If I utilize that intelligence for simply having nice motorcar and skyscraper building, but I do not know what is my future, then it is not very good intelligence. You can construct a very nice skyscraper building, and you can have a nice car, but you will not be allowed to stay here. What you have done for that? You will be kicked out at any moment. Then your all labor is simply... You can solace yourself that "My children will enjoy" or "My grandsons will enjoy." But why not enjoy yourself? That is very uncertain. Any moment I shall be kicked out. And then, if it is a fact that I am going to accept another body, there is no guarantee what kind of body I am going to accept. I have constructed a skyscraper building on account of my attachment. I may be allowed by the nature's law to stay in that building, but if by my activities I become a rat or cat in that building, then what is the profit? --- **[[spoken/760522sb.hon|SB 6.1.22 — May 22, 1976, Honolulu]]** [aside:] Get on the... *Oṁ namo bhagavate vāsudevaya. Oṁ namo bhagavate vāsudevaya. Oṁ namo bhagavate vāsudevaya.* [devotees repeat] [leads devotees in chanting] So gradually the history of Ajāmila. We have already narrated, he was inhabitant of Kānyakubja. It is historical incidence. It is not a fiction, manufactured something. No. History, *itihāsa.* So in the Vedic literature they are... Everything is *itihāsa,* history. Just like in the park we were talking of the Milk Ocean. The Milk Ocean is there in some part of the universe, top, near Brahmaloka. So it is not fiction; it is *itihāsa,* means history. We do not know the universal history. We may know some history of our country or this planet. That's all. But there are millions and trillions of planets. --- **[[spoken/770522r1.vrn|Room Conversation — May 22, 1977, Vṛndāvana]]** **Prabhupāda:** The system of management will go on as it is now. There is no need of changing. The money which is in my personal name in different banks, that is being spent for the Society, and it will be Society's property. In this connection a few deposits, which is allowing some pension to the members of my former family, may not be touched. That's all, two points. Hmm? What do you think? So...? **Tamāla Kṛṣṇa:** That in regard to the three temples, Māyāpur, Bombay and Vṛndāvana, you should designate who you want the trustees to be. **Tamāla Kṛṣṇa:** And in regard to the money which is held in your name, which will be used for the Society, that should also be...
