**Prabhupāda:** Oh. In Kanpur I had an old friend—he was just like my father—Tiwari. Very rich man. They have got their temple.
**Prabhupāda:** In Kanpur there is a big temple that belongs to the Tiwari family. It is famous temple. Many people go there to visit.
**Prabhupāda:** The temple is very old temple. So the proprietors of the temple are *brāhmaṇas,* Tiwari. So the eldest member, old Mr. Tiwari, was a very nice, great devotee. At home he had Deity, Rukmiṇī-Kṛṣṇa. He was worshiping at home Rukmiṇī-Kṛṣṇa, Dvārakā.

**Gaṇeśa:** God created the earth, in the *Bible.* God started on a Monday. He created the earth. It says in the Bible in the *Old Testament* that it took Him seven days, or six days, and on the seventh day He rested. And still there is some dispute whether He started on a Sunday or a Monday. So the Jewish, the Hebrews, they hold the Sabbath on a Saturday, and the Christians and the Catholics, they have the Sabbath on the Sunday. But on the seventh day God rested after creating the heavens and the earths.
**Śrutakīrti:** It was always considered very bad to engage in any type of work on the Sabbath day. It was used only to glorify the Lord.
**Paramahaṁsa:** Not any more. Now the post office is closed on Saturday and open all day on Sunday in Perth.

**Amogha:** There are three or four men coming at ten o'clock. One Mr. Nela from the... They're all from one place where they deal with alcoholics and drug addicts. And they work for the government. And Mr. Nela is a social worker, and for fifteen years he's worked in mental hospitals also. And there's a psychologist from Burma, and a psychiatric nurse and maybe one other, at ten o'clock. And I talked to some people who do radio conversations yesterday. And they want me to check back today. But they may come tonight or possibly tomorrow morning. Is it all right for tomorrow morning also?
**Amogha:** We are starting not... The plane flies at two o'clock. So in the morning there would be time, I think. But if they come, they will broadcast it on radio, the conversation. And perhaps that man, the geographer, will come again. He told me to check back today because he has to see if he can make it in the schedule.
**Amogha:** Well, I can give him time tonight if he can come. Otherwise I can tell the radio people to come tonight. I have to telephone them and arrange it. [break]

**Amogha:** ...to solve the problem of drug and alcohol addiction and, of course, they're concerned with the causes of it and things like that.
**Prabhupāda:** So you can send all these alcohol and drug patients here, and they will be cured. These boys, American and European boys, they were all addicted to alcohol, drugs. Now they have given up. Practical.
**Prabhupāda:** Simply I say that "If you want to be my student, then you must give up four things: illicit sex, meat-eating, intoxication and gambling." This is my condition. So they give up, and they become my student.

**Prabhupāda:** *Oṁ namo bhagavate vāsudevāya. Oṁ namo bhagavate vāsudevāya. Oṁ namo bhagavate vāsudevāya.* [devotees repeat] *Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam,* Canto Six, Chapter One, verse number sixteen. [leads devotees in chanting]
So Śukadeva Gosvāmī said already that *kecit kevalayā bhaktyā* [[sb/6/1/15|[SB. 6.1.15] ]], "Simply by devotional service," *vāsudeva-parāyaṇāḥ,* "one has become attached to Vāsudeva." This stage is very difficult, but very easy also. For the simple person it is very easy, and those who are crooked, demons, for them it is very difficult. So in another place it is stated, in the First Canto,
