Later on, the atheist S*āṅkhya,* they wiped out God. [break] *Na brahmā na īśaḥ.* These are the Vedic *mantras.* [break] *Koṭi-brahmāṇḍa-vigraha. Koṭi-brahmāṇḍa-vigraha.* Innumerable universes are there in the body of Kṛṣṇa. [break] **Dr. Patel:** Now they are not. Assuming... The government is telling lies, that some people have come to work, and they have not, not have work. [break] **Prabhupāda:** *...bindu sama, suta mitā ramaṇī samāje, sohe viṣere mana, tahe samarpala, ābrahma yuga haba kono kāje. [*Śrīla Vidyāpati] This is Vidyāpati's song, that "We are seeking water in the desert," *taṭala saikata. Saikata* means the sandy beach, and very hot. So then water is required. But we get little water. What is that? *Suta mitā ramaṇī samāje.* In the society, friendship and love, we are seeking that happiness, and it is exactly like seeking water in the desert. Although there is little happiness, but what is the comparison? *Vāri bindu sama.* I want water, but it is a drop of water. --- **[[spoken/750508mw.per|Morning Walk — May 8, 1975, Perth]]** **Prabhupāda:** A child cannot think. Motorcar is running. Child will think the motorcar is running automatically. But a sane man will understand that there is a driver. So persons who deny the existence of God are like that. They see the machine, nature. Nature is the machine. But behind the machine there is the operator. These rascal cannot understand. *Nābhijānāti, mām ebhyaḥ paramam, tribhir guṇamayair bhāvair [[bg/7/13|[Bg. 7.13] ]]. Machine is working, nature is working, that much they can see. And behind the machine there is operator. That they cannot see. What is your answer? What the atheist will say? Has the atheist any experience that any machine works without operator? Has he got any experience? **Paramahaṁsa:** But this material, this whole universe—we cannot compare this whole universe with any machine created by man. **Prabhupāda:** Yes, yes. Why you bring man? This machine is being operated..., created and being operated by God. --- **[[spoken/750508r1.per|Room Conversation with Kim Cornish — May 8, 1975, Perth]]** **Amogha:** He was telling me that the paper he's writing for his master's degree is comparing a German philosopher with Buddhist philosophy. Comparison between those. **Kim Cornish:** Which, as far as I can gather, is the self/no-self thing. Buddhism was denying that you're the *ātman,* I think. Could you perhaps say something about that? **Prabhupāda:** Nature of *ātma* is eternal. Eternity, knowledge and blissfulness. *Ānandamayo 'bhyāsāt* [*Vedānta-sūtra* 1.1.12]: *ātmā* is jolly, *ānanda,* blissful. --- **[[spoken/760508sb.hon|SB 6.1.7 — May 8, 1976, Honolulu]]** **Prabhupāda:** *Oṁ namo bhagavate vāsudevāya. Oṁ namo bhagavate vāsudevāya. Oṁ namo bhagavate vāsudevāya. *[devotees repeat] *Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam,* Canto Six, Chapter One, verse number seven. [leads devotees in chanting] So Śukadeva Gosvāmī said, "My dear King, if before one's next death whatever impious acts one has performed in this life with the mind, words and body are not counteracted through the proper atonement according to the description of the *Manu-saṁhitā* and other *dharma-śāstras,* one will certainly enter the hellish planets after death and undergo terrible suffering, as I have previously described to you." --- **[[spoken/770508r1.hri|Room Conversation — May 8, 1977, Rishikesh]]** --- **[[spoken/770508r2.hri|Room Conversation — May 8, 1977, Rishikesh]]** --- **[[spoken/770508r3.hri|Room Conversation — May 8, 1977, Rishikesh]]** --- ## Letters - [[../../letters/1969/690508_gargamuni.md|Letter to Gargamuni, 1969]] - [[../../letters/1969/690508_jayagovinda.md|Letter to Jayagovinda, 1969]] - [[../../letters/1969/690508_krsna_dasa.md|Letter to Krsna Dasa, 1969]] - [[../../letters/1969/690508_mukunda.md|Letter to Mukunda, 1969]] - [[../../letters/1969/690508_sivananda.md|Letter to Sivananda, 1969]] - [[../../letters/1969/690508_sudama.md|Letter to Sudama, 1969]] - [[../../letters/1969/690508_upendra.md|Letter to Upendra, 1969]] - [[../../letters/1970/700508_bhagavan.md|Letter to Bhagavan, 1970]] - [[../../letters/1973/730508_giriraja.md|Letter to Giriraja, 1973]] - [[../../letters/1973/730508_govardhan_2.md|Letter to Govardhan 2, 1973]] - [[../../letters/1973/730508_sons_and_daughters.md|Letter to Sons And Daughters, 1973]] - [[../../letters/1974/740508_govinda.md|Letter to Govinda, 1974]] - [[../../letters/1974/740508_sudama.md|Letter to Sudama, 1974]]
