# March 19 *Lectures from this day: 5 recordings* --- **SB 10.22.35 — March 19, 1971, Bombay** *[Lecture file not found]* --- **Pandal Lecture — March 19, 1972, Bombay** **Prabhupāda:** Now when I was coming on the dais, one gentleman remarked that "Your this movement will help forgetful Indians who are trying to forget God. Not only in India; throughout the whole world they are trying to forget God. And this forgetfulness of our relationship with God is material condition. Material life and spiritual life, the difference is that when we forget God, that is material. And when we are fully conscious of God, that is spiritual life. **Śyāmasundara:** Would all the children kindly be very quiet during tonight's lecture, please? Can your parents have their children here, kindly keep them quiet so that Śrīla Prabhupāda can be heard by everyone, please. When we forget Kṛṣṇa and want to lord it over the material nature, this is called *māyā*. *Māyā* means which has no factual existence. So this idea that "I shall lord it over the material nature," this is *māyā*. --- **SB 2.1.4 — March 19, 1974, Vṛndāvana** **Prabhupāda:** [sings, with devotees joining in, *Ṣaḍ Gosvāmy Aṣṭaka*]* [break]* > śrī-caitanya-kṛpā-bharau bhuvi bhuvo bhārāvahantārakau > vande rūpa-sanātanau raghu-yugau śrī-jīva-gopālakau > [Ṣaḍ-gosvāmy-aṣṭaka 1] --- **Morning Walk — March 19, 1976, Māyāpur** **Prabhupāda:** "These people, they have no illicit sex, no intoxication?" Oh, immediately they become praising, "Such wonderful men. No illicit sex?" [laughs] which is unknown to you, the Western people. **Satsvarūpa:** Śrīla Prabhupāda, today starts a big international convention for the Association for Asian Studies, and we're there. It's in Toronto. We have an advertisement in this book, with *Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta,* with a quote by that Bruce Long. And we have that big sign at our booth: "The largest publisher and distributor of books on the philosophy, culture and religion of India." This shows also with all the exhibitors we're listed, the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust. And this is where we are, this booth here. **Satsvarūpa:** Two of the library men who didn't come, just so they could go to this convention.
