**Prabhupāda:** We have been discussing Prahlāda Mahārāja's instruction to his class fellows. Fortunately, we have got some little boys. So it is very interesting. Prahlāda Mahārāja was five-years-old boy, and he was preaching Kṛṣṇa consciousness. All the boys, and Prahlāda Mahārāja himself, belonged to the atheist class, most materialist.

**Pradyumna:*Oṁ namo bhagavate vāsudevāya.Oṁ namo bhagavate vāsudevāya.Oṁ namo bhagavate vāsudevāya.* [**Prabhupāda and** devotees repeat] [leads chanting of verse]
**Pradyumna:** > rāsādi-vilāsī, vrajalalanā-nāgara > āra yata saba dekha,—tāṅra parikara > [Cc Ādi 7.8]
**Translation:** "Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, is the supreme enjoyer in the rāsa dance. He is the leader of the damsels of Vraja, and all others are simply His associates."

**Prabhupāda:** ...you should call learned. *Arcye viṣṇau śilā-dhīr guruṣu nara-matir vaiṣṇave jāti-buddhiḥ* [Padma Purāṇa]. You take it...
**Prabhupāda:** ...this quotation from *Padma Purāṇa,* and distribute it by transcribing to all our devotees.
**Prabhupāda:** *Arcye viṣṇau...* [break] ...when it will teach military art, with *tilaka,* soldiers will [chanting in marching beat], "Hare Kṛṣṇa, Hare Kṛṣṇa, Hare Kṛṣṇa..." [laughter] We want that. Marching with military band, "Hare Kṛṣṇa." You maintain this idea. Is it not good?

Śyāmasundara: ...seeing how the money is spent, everything is going nice. It is organized, and everything...
**Prabhupāda:** Yes. Management. Management means everything is in order; otherwise what is the use of assembling together?
Pañcadraviḍa: Sometimes, though, it's hard to maintain this routine. You yourself told the devotees not to go out and purchase excessive amounts of sweets, but that didn't check them. They're still in the sweet shops continually. This morning I woke a...

Ātreya **Ṛṣi:** ...and then he can be..., do whatever he wants. [indistinct] powerful as a king. [break]
**Prabhupāda:** ...they can be turned into Vaiṣṇavas. [break] Young preachers, hopeless [break] ...real thing, and people follow, then everything is perfect.
Ātreya **Ṛṣi:** Tehran used to be very beautiful before there were so many cars. Very clear, very clear. And the land, when I was a child, the land was very, very cheap here. So now it is, everything, very, very expensive and very polluted with car.

This is the position of the people. Their span of life is shortening. Nobody is living long life. And if he's little long life, then people will commit suicide. Before coming out of India I heard one of our members, a big industrialist, he has committed suicide in Calcutta. So perhaps you know. He committed suicide in falling from the Wellington Bridge to the Ganges.
**Prabhupāda:** He was a big industrialist. This is the embarrassment. You cannot get out of this. So out of hopelessness they commit suicide. So apart from suicide, so much anxiety. You cannot live very long, from physical. This anxiety is just like fire, slow fire: burning, burning, burning, burning. So people will be short-lived, especially those who are very, very big men. Heart failure and short span of life. This is the program for killing them by *māyā*. So, *prāyeṇālpāyuṣaḥ, ālpāyuṣaḥ. Prāyeṇa. Prāyeṇa* means "almost." Nobody is dying at one hundred years. No. We don't find anyone nowadays. Of course, the limit is one hundred years. Even in this Kali-yuga, one's span of life is limited up to one hundred years. But nobody's going to that limit. If one lives eighty, eighty-five years, oh, he is supposed to be very grand old man. But actually one should live at least a hundred years. So that is not going on.
Then the next qualification is *mandāḥ. Mandāḥ* means "bad" or "slow." So in that way more or less every one of us, we are bad, *mandāḥ*. If *mandāḥ* means not bad, slow—that is a fact, everyone knows. Slow means that this human form of body has got some mission to execute, but nobody knows. And if anyone knows, he's slow. He knows that death will come at any moment, that I must finish my real business. But nobody is interested.

**Prabhupāda:** "...and they are drunkards, they are *guṇḍās,* and they are creating trouble always." "Oh," He is, "then why not preach amongst them?" You see? This is Caitanya Mahāprabhu's preaching. Hard nut. To accept a hard nut and make it soft. [break] ...who was injured, but His decision to deliver these persons was executed. So why should we neglect China and Russia? China has good relationship now with America.
**Prabhupāda:** So American gentlemen, doing, to do some business, I think there will be no difficulty.
**Prabhupāda:** "We are not going to preach any Kṛṣṇa consciousness. We are going to do some business of our books. That's all."

Anantarām Śāstrījī**: [chants *mantras*] > kṛṣṇaika-cetā mada-moha-vināśa-kārin > kartā vrīḍa-hāsa kā prabhu prabhupāda-svāmin > kāmādi doṣā paradūṣita-manda-buddheḥ > sañcintayāmi caraṇau tava bhakti-hetoḥ
O lord, O Prabhupāda, may you always be the object of my vision. Only the name of Kṛṣṇa can destroy my pride and illusion. Although my mind and intelligence are contaminated by ever increasing faults and wicked inclinations, I meditate upon your lotus feet in causeless devotion.
