**Prabhupāda:** So we are all very fortunate that different nations, from different parts of the world, are now combined together in Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Some of you, you have come from Europe: England, France, Germany, Holland, Rome. Similarly, you have come from America: New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco; Canada: Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver; Africa: Nairobi, South Africa. So it is very good example that you have come from different parts of the world to join in the *saṅkīrtana* movement. That is Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu's mission. Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu predicted,
He said that all over the world, as many towns and villages are there, the name of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu will be known. So His prediction was never to be foiled. So by His grace it is now becoming fulfilled. This is the real platform of United Nation. They are trying for United Nation, working for the last thirty years, but they have not been successful, neither they will ever be successful. That is our prediction. Yes. They'll never be successful. Because you cannot be united on the material platform. That is not possible. Because on the material platform... Material platform means on the bodily concept of life: "I am this body." "I am Indian," "I am American," "I am Christian," "I am Hindu," "I am *brāhmaṇa,*" "I am *śūdra,*" all... So many "I am." All designation. So on the platform of designation there is not possibility of unity. That is not possible. Unity's possible on the spiritual platform. Those who are under the concept of this body, "I am this body," they have been described in the *śāstra* as *go-kharaḥ. Go* means cows, and *kharaḥ* means ass. *Sa eva go-kharaḥ.*

**Prabhupāda:** Eh? Yes. Anyone. Just like engineering college is open for anyone. He must be ready to take up the training. Similarly, this *varṇāśrama* college, he must be ready, the student must be ready to take up the training.
**Prabhupāda:** Yes, any education, from childhood. Yes. Education means from childhood. [aside:] Hare Kṛṣṇa. *Kaumāra ācaret prājño dharmān bhāgavatān iha* [[sb/7/6/1|[SB. 7.6.1] ]]. The... How... We are getting so many *sannyāsīs,* they should teach. Teaching should be done by the *sannyāsīs.* Just like in missionary school, the Fathers teaches.
**Prabhupāda:** *Gurukula* is only for the small children. Preliminary, primary. And when the children are grown up, they should be sent to the *varṇāśrama* school or college for further developed training.

**Prabhupāda:** ...they assemble together and people are unhappy. [break] They have renounced democracy, eh? Communist?
Ātreya **Ṛṣi:** Yes. It's all dictatorship. Democracy is also a dictatorship, but by election. They elect a fool, and then he can be..., do whatever he wants.

**Devotee:** ...to chant the names of Nitāi-Gaurāṅga before we encourage them so much to chant the *mahā-mantra?*
**Prabhupāda:** No. Why not? Now, what is the difference, Nitāi-Gaurāṅga and Hare Kṛṣṇa? Nitāi-Gaurāṅga and Hare Kṛṣṇa, there is no difference. Nitāi-Gaurāṅga is also nice. Whatever he finds convenient, let him chant.
**Yoga student:** This country, which was..., once at one time followed the Āryan path of Zoroastrianism, which is now..., practices primarily Islam although having absorbed many of the original elements in it. Do you have a recommendation as to how people of this country might feel the grace of Kṛṣṇa, perhaps even within the forms of their own traditional practice?
---
**[[spoken/750314r2.teh|Room Conversation — March 14, 1975, Tehran]]**
**Prabhupāda:** Yes. India... Formerly your country was part of India, and you belong to the same culture. So far I understand, Iran means Āryan? So Āryan culture was practically all over the world. Āryan culture is based on God consciousness. So amongst the Āryans there is some conception of religion, either Christian religion or Muhammadan religion, Buddhist religion, Vedic religion, based on conception of God. So according to time, country, the ways of understanding may be little different, but the aim is God consciousness. That is Āryan civilization.
So God is one. God cannot be two. So the features of God or angle of vision of God may be different. So they have been summarized in the *Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam.* [aside:] You can come forward. One feature of God is impersonal. Just like the sunshine. Sunshine is spreading all over the universe. It is impersonal. But the quality of the sunshine is heat and light. The heat and light means energy. So as in the material calculation, the heat and light is the cause of all creation. Just like at the present moment there is not sufficient heat; therefore the trees have no leaves. And as soon as there will be little more heat they will be all green. So you can take it that the creation of the foliage is due to the heat. Similarly light. So heat and light is the cause of all this material creation. And heat and light is coming from the sunshine, er, sun. Therefore heat becomes the origin of creation even in this material world.
Similarly, there is another light. That is the original light. This is reflection. That is called *brahma-jyoti,* spiritual light. So in this way one conception of God is like that. Another conception of God is: God is situated everywhere. *Aṇḍāntara-sthaṁ paramāṇu-cayāntara-stham* [**Bs* 5.35*]. Because God is situated within the universe, within the atom, therefore they are existing. Just like the *ātmā,* or spirit soul, is situated in you, in me, in everyone. This is called Paramātmā feature. And at the ultimate end there is the person, God as person, the Supreme Person, the Supreme Being, a person like you and me—we are person—but He is almighty, all-powerful. This is the conception of Absolute Truth: God, Paramātmā and *brahma-jyoti.* *Brahmeti paramātmeti bhagavān iti śabdyate* [[sb/1/2/11|[SB. 1.2.11] ]].

**Hari-śauri:** ...He has all wealth, all strength, everything that you could possibly ever want. And He's offering to everyone, "So just surrender to Me, and I will take complete charge of you." But people are so foolish that they don't do it. They don't take any notice.
**Prabhupāda:** Why...? Suppose a big man, Rockefeller, says, "You simply surrender to me. I will take charge of you." Immediately one takes up. So why the man does not take Kṛṣṇa's word?
**Prabhupāda:** Mean, are such a great fool, they have been described as *mūḍhās*. That is perfect word. *Na māṁ duṣkṛtiṇo mūḍhāḥ prapadyante* [[bg/7/15|[Bg. 7.15] ]]. Duskṛtino mūḍhāḥ,* the most sinful rascal, he does not surrender. That is a fact.

**Puṣṭa Kṛṣṇa:Translation:** "Then Lord Brahmā could see You possessing thousands and thousands of faces, legs, heads, hands, eyes, noses and ears. You were decorated with varieties of ornaments and weapons and very nicely dressed. Seeing You as Lord Viṣṇu with Your transcendental symptoms and form, Your legs extending to the lower planets, Lord Brahmā achieved transcendental bliss."
**Prabhupāda:** > evaṁ sahasra-vadanāṅghri-śiraḥ-karoru- > nāsādya-karṇa-nayana ābharaṇayudhāḍhyam > māyāmayaṁ sad-upalakṣita-sanniveśaṁ > dṛṣṭvā mahā-puruṣam āpa mudaṁ viriñcaḥ > [[sb/7/9/36|[SB. 7.9.36] ]]
So in the previous verse we understood that Lord Brahmā executed severe austerity for hundreds of years just to become purified. *Tīvra-tapasā pariśuddha-bhāvaḥ. Bhāva,* situation, or nature—*bhāva,* nature also—so we have a *bhāva,* nature, at the present moment which is not real *bhāva.* We have acquired this *bhāva* on account of long, long years' material association. But this *bhāva* can be changed. That is spiritual. Śrī Rūpa Gosvāmī also says *bhāva,* and another place, in *Bhagavad-gītā,* it is said, *budhā bhāva-samanvitāḥ* [[bg/10/8|[Bg. 10.8] ]], bhāva.*
