# March 4 *Lectures from this day: 8 recordings* --- **[[spoken/660304bg.ny|Bg 2.11 — March 4, 1966, New York]]** **Prabhupāda:** So Kṛṣṇa is, in this sen..., He's identified that Bhagavān. *Bhagavān* means that nobody can surpass His knowledge. Because I have already given the definition of *bhagavān,* that a personality who is in full all the opulences—wealth, strength, fame and knowledge, beauty and renunciation—He is God. You see? So... Now, in this, at the present moment, when people are godless, I think, this definition is convincing. If you find out a personality that..., one who has got in full all these opulences, He is God, then it will be very difficult to present an ordinary man as God. You see? You will find that in the *Bhagavad-gītā,* when Arjuna was convinced that Kṛṣṇa is the Supreme Personality of Godhead... But because in future others will have doubt about Kṛṣṇa, he requested Kṛṣṇa that "Will You show me Your universal form?" And Kṛṣṇa agreed and showed him the universal form. That means in future any intelligent man accepting a so-called God may also ask him, "Just show something, that you are God." Without showing something, simply by false advertisement, one cannot be God. So whole mistake is that we do not know what is God. We consider God may be just like one of us. No. The God who is controlling such a huge affairs of universal administration, He cannot be... He is superconscious. That is superconsciousness. Now, here, *aśocyān anvaśocas tvaṁ prajñā-vādāṁś ca bhāṣase* [[bg/2/11|[Bg. 2.11] ]].* --- **[[spoken/720304le.cal|Lecture [Bengali] — March 4, 1972, Calcutta]]** --- **[[spoken/740304cc.may|Cc. So*tattva,* Absolute Truth, I tried to explain last night. *Tattva...* Kṛṣṇa has spoken about *tattva* in the *Bhagavad-gītā,* and in the *Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam* also there is statement of *tattva, vadanti tat tattva-vidas tattvam* [[sb/1/2/11|[SB. 1.2.11] ]]. Tattva,* the truth, can be learned from the *tattva-vida,* one who knows. The Absolute Truth cannot be ascertained by imaginative speculation. One has to learn the *tattva* from the *tattva-vit.* Therefore, the *tattva-vid vadanti. Vadanti* means they explain; *tattva-vit,* one who is *tattva-vit,* he explains. *Vadanti tat tattva-vidas tattvaṁ yaj jñānam advayam.* One who knows, he's not silent. He is to preach, he is to speak. Nowadays it has become a fashion to be *maunī-**bābā,* does not speak. So these are..., may be very good device for professional business, but so far we are concerned, in the Vedic culture, the *tattva-vit* must speak. *Śravaṇaṁ kīrtanam.* The *tattva-vit* must hear from the authorized person; then he'll speak. That is nice. Otherwise, there is no need of speaking. So those who have not heard from the authorized person, they may make a business by making himself *maunī-**bābā. Tāvac ca śobhate mūrkho yāvat kiñcin na bhāsate:** "A *mūrkha,* a dull rascal, is very beautiful so long he does not speak." Because as soon as he speaks, then his knowledge, his learning, his capacity, his position will be immediately exposed. So our *paramparā* line, Prahlāda Mahārāja has condemned this system, *maunī-**bābā.* No. Our system is *kīrtanīyaḥ sadā hariḥ,* Caitanya Mahāprabhu's teaching. --- **[[spoken/740304mw.may|Morning Walk, [partially recorded] — March 4, 1974, Māyāpur]]** **Prabhupāda:** ...every *paisa* you should spend for Kṛṣṇa. Not that "Kṛṣṇa is giving money. Let us squander it as much as we like." Then there will be scarcity. [break] What is that? **Prabhupāda:** Oh, all right. [break] *...pūjyante dhanya yatra susancitam [*Cāṇakya Paṇḍita], "Where a rascal is not worshiped, where foodstuff is kept very carefully," and *dampatyoḥ kalaha nāsti,* "and when there is no fight between husband and wife, or family-wise," *tatra śrīḥ svayam āgataḥ,* "there goddess of fortune is always present." Hare Kṛṣṇa. This is the principle given by Cāṇakya Paṇḍita, the greatest politician and moralist. *Mūrkha* means who is not pure devotee of Kṛṣṇa. He's a *mūrkha* or *mūḍha.* Not that A-B-C-D learned. A-B-C-D learned is no use. And another *śloka,* Cāṇakya Paṇḍita says who is learned man. *Mātṛvat para-dāreṣu:* "One who does not think of any illicit sex life." *Mātṛvat...* Every woman—mother. Except his married wife, every woman is mother. *Mātṛvat para-dāreṣu para-dravyeṣu loṣṭravat [*Cāṇakya Paṇḍita]: "And others' money, just like garbage." Nobody touches. *Mātṛvat para-dāreṣu para-dravyeṣu loṣṭravat,* and *ātmavat sarva-bhūteṣu:* "And one who sees like himself all other living entities, he's *paṇḍita,* he's learned." This is the punishment. Human society, naked, that is their punishment. **Prabhupāda:** The trees are taken to be the most tolerant. *Tṛṇād api sunīcena taror api sahiṣṇunā* [*Cc Ādi* 17.31, *Śikṣāṣṭaka* 3]. There is an extreme example of tolerance, this tree life. **Dayānanda:** In one of the purports in *Bhāgavatam* you mention that first comes humility, then nonviolence and then tolerance. --- **[[spoken/760304sb.may|SB 7.9.26 — March 4, 1976, Māyāpur]]** Anantarām Śāstrījī*:* *Oṁ namo bhagavate vāsudevāya. So we should very nicely organize the Hyderabad. What you have resolved about that? **Rāmeśvara:** We resolved that we would send money from the record sales to help develop the food projects there, the farm there and the food distribution. **Prabhupāda:** First of all you depute two or three GBCs to go there and see what is their program, how they'll utilize the money. --- ## Letters - [[../../letters/1967/670304_brahmananda_satsvarupa_rayarama_gargamuni_other_trustees.md|Letter to Brahmananda Satsvarupa Rayarama Gargamuni Other Trustees, 1967]] - [[../../letters/1967/670304_ramananda_bhaktisindhu.md|Letter to Ramananda Bhaktisindhu, 1967]] - [[../../letters/1967/670304_satsvarupa.md|Letter to Satsvarupa, 1967]] - [[../../letters/1968/680304_brahmananda.md|Letter to Brahmananda, 1968]] - [[../../letters/1968/680304_hansadutta.md|Letter to Hansadutta, 1968]] - [[../../letters/1968/680304_satsvarupa.md|Letter to Satsvarupa, 1968]] - [[../../letters/1970/700304_hanuman_prasad_poddar.md|Letter to Hanuman Prasad Poddar, 1970]] - [[../../letters/1970/700304_hit_sharanji.md|Letter to Hit Sharanji, 1970]] - [[../../letters/1970/700304_sumati_morarjee.md|Letter to Sumati Morarjee, 1970]] - [[../../letters/1970/700304_tamala_krsna.md|Letter to Tamala Krsna, 1970]] - [[../../letters/1971/710304_babhrubahan.md|Letter to Babhrubahan, 1971]] - [[../../letters/1971/710304_yogesvara.md|Letter to Yogesvara, 1971]] - [[../../letters/1972/720304_amarendra.md|Letter to Amarendra, 1972]] - [[../../letters/1972/720304_dasarha.md|Letter to Dasarha, 1972]] - [[../../letters/1972/720304_gadi_bhudara_sridhara.md|Letter to Gadi Bhudara Sridhara, 1972]] - [[../../letters/1972/720304_ksirodakasayi.md|Letter to Ksirodakasayi, 1972]] - [[../../letters/1972/720304_lalita_prasad_thakura.md|Letter to Lalita Prasad Thakura, 1972]] - [[../../letters/1973/730304_bhakta_dasa.md|Letter to Bhakta Dasa, 1973]] - [[../../letters/1973/730304_ksirodakasayi.md|Letter to Ksirodakasayi, 1973]] - [[../../letters/1973/730304_sukadeva.md|Letter to Sukadeva, 1973]] - [[../../letters/1973/730304_trai.md|Letter to Trai, 1973]] - [[../../letters/1976/760304_gurukula_devotees.md|Letter to Gurukula Devotees, 1976]] - [[../../letters/1976/760304_p.r._mohapatra.md|Letter to P.R.
