# SB 9.18.8 ## Text > tā jalāśayam āsādya > kanyāḥ kamala-locanāḥ > tīre nyasya dukūlāni > vijahruḥ siñcatīr mithaḥ ## Synonyms *tāḥ*—they; *jala*-*āśayam*—to the lakeside; *āsādya*—coming; *kanyāḥ*—all the girls; *kamala*-*locanāḥ*—with eyes like lotus petals; *tīre*—on the bank; *nyasya*—giving up; *dukūlāni*—their dresses; *vijahruḥ*—began to sport; *siñcatīḥ*—throwing water; *mithaḥ*—on one another. ## Translation **When the young, lotus-eyed girls came to the bank of a reservoir of water, they wanted to enjoy by bathing. Thus they left their clothing on the bank and began sporting, throwing water on one another.**
