# SB 8.19.22 ## Text > tribhiḥ kramair asantuṣṭo > dvīpenāpi na pūryate > nava-varṣa-sametena > sapta-dvīpa-varecchayā ## Synonyms *tribhiḥ*—three; *kramaiḥ*—by steps; *asantuṣṭaḥ*—one who is dissatisfied; *dvīpena*—by a complete island; *api*—although; *na* *pūryate*—cannot be satisfied; *nava*-*varṣa*-*sametena*—even by possessing nine *varṣas*; *sapta*-*dvīpa*-*vara*-*icchayā*—by the desire to take possession of seven islands. ## Translation **If I were not satisfied with three paces of land, then surely I would not be satisfied even with possessing one of the seven islands, consisting of nine varṣas. Even if I possessed one island, I would hope to get others.**
