# SB 10.8.2 ## Text > taṁ dṛṣṭvā parama-prītaḥ > pratyutthāya kṛtāñjaliḥ > ānarcādhokṣaja-dhiyā > praṇipāta-puraḥsaram ## Synonyms *tam*—him (Gargamuni); *dṛṣṭvā*—after seeing; *parama*-*prītaḥ*—Nanda Mahārāja was very much pleased; *pratyutthāya*—standing up to receive him; *kṛta*-*añjaliḥ*—with folded hands; *ānarca*—worshiped; *adhokṣaja*-*dhiyā*—although Gargamuni was visible to the senses, Nanda Mahārāja maintained a very high respect for him; *praṇipāta*-*puraḥsaram*—Nanda Mahārāja fell down before him and offered obeisances. ## Translation **When Nanda Mahārāja saw Gargamuni present at his home, Nanda was so pleased that he stood up to receive him with folded hands. Although seeing Gargamuni with his eyes, Nanda Mahārāja could appreciate that Gargamuni was adhokṣaja; that is, he was not an ordinary person seen by material senses.**
