# Spreading the Mission *On Lord Caitanya's desire to spread Krishna consciousness globally* --- ### Go and Preach Without Fear > So I have got all encouragement. Go and preach. Don't be afraid. Simply present *yāre dekha tāre kaha kṛṣṇa-upadeśa*. Whatever you have learned from Kṛṣṇa, from your *guru,* just vomit it, that's all. There is no need of becoming very expert. Simply whatever you learned, that's all. — [[spoken/1976/760906g1.vrn|Garden Conversation, Vrndavana, September 6, 1976]] --- ### Para-upakara: The Welfare of Others > You are Brahman. Just realize *ahaṁ brahmāsmi.*" This is *para-upakāra.* So we are doing that. We are awakening everyone. *Uttiṣṭhata jāgrata prāpya-varān nibodhata*: "You have got now human being form of life. Now get up and make your life successful by spiritual realization." This is our message. *Sarve sukhino bhavantu.* By spiritual realization everyone will become happy. Without spiritual realization, nobody can become happy. This is our mission. — [[spoken/1973/730813r1.par|Room Conversation With Sanskrit Professor, Paris, August 13, 1973]] --- ### The Preacher Is Most Dear to Krishna > It is said in the *Bhagavad-gītā, ya imaṁ paramaṁ guhyaṁ mad-bhakteṣv abhidhāsyati*: "Anyone who is engaged in preaching this confidential science of *Bhagavad-gītā,*" *na ca tasmān manuṣyeṣu kaścid me priya-kṛttamaḥ,* "nobody is dearer to Me than he is." So if you want very quickly recognition by Kṛṣṇa, go on preaching Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Even it is imperfectly done, but because you are sincere in your capa..., whatever capacity you have got, if you preach, then Kṛṣṇa will be very much pleased. — [[spoken/1976/760326sb.del|Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 7.9.44, Delhi, March 26, 1976]] --- ### The Mission of the High-Class Vaisnava > So this is the mission of high-class Vaiṣṇava, how to preach Kṛṣṇa consciousness among the suffering humanity. And this is the purport of this verse said by Prahlāda Mahārāja, and we are following the footprints of Prahlāda Mahārāja. Never mind even it is imperfectly done, we must execute the orders of Caitanya Mahāprabhu, *yāre dekha tāre kaha kṛṣṇa-upadeśa*. I may not be so very expert in delivering the message of Kṛṣṇa, but my duty is to try to my best capacity how to distribute this knowledge to the suffering humanity. — [[spoken/1976/760326sb.del|Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 7.9.44, Delhi, March 26, 1976]] --- ### Every Town and Village > Anywhere, either you are in this district or that district, it doesn't matter. Either you are at home or outside home, it doesn't matter—you become a *guru,* everyone. "How shall I become *guru?* I have no qualification." Caitanya Mahāprabhu said, "You don't require any qualification. You simply require one qualification: that you repeat the instruction of *Bhagavad-gītā.* That's all." *Yāre dekha tāre kaha kṛṣṇa-upadeśa*. That's all. You become a *guru.* Don't adulterate *kṛṣṇa-upadeśa* like a rascal or nonsense. Present it as it is, *Bhagavad-gītā.* Then you become a* guru.* You can become a* guru* in your family. You can *guru* your society, your nation, wherever you are. And if it is possible, you go outside and preach this mission of *Bhagavad-gītā.* Therefore our movement's name is Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Whatever Kṛṣṇa says, you accept and preach, you become *guru.* — [[spoken/1976/760316in.may|Sannyāsa and Harināma Initiations, Māyāpur, March 16, 1976]] --- ### The Duty to Spread Krishna Consciousness > It was the duty of the Indians. But in one sense, Bhārata-varṣa means this planet. Formerly there was one flag, Bhārata-varṣa, and the capital was Hastināpura. Gradually the control of the Pāṇḍavas declined. Up to Mahārāja Parīkṣit, the whole world was Bhārata-varṣa. Now it has become a teeny land, peninsula. So in that sense, anyone who is..., who has taken birth on this planet, it is the duty of him to spread Kṛṣṇa consciousness. So by the grace of Kṛṣṇa, you European boys and girls, you have taken very seriously, and Kṛṣṇa will be very much pleased upon you. — [[spoken/1976/760322ar.cal|Arrival Talk, Calcutta, March 22, 1976]] --- ### Caitanya Mahaprabhu's Cult Means Krishna Consciousness > Not only in India; all over the world. At the present moment, the real, transcendental spiritual life means to follow the cult or instruction of Caitanya Mahāprabhu. Otherwise, everyone is bogus. They're simply wasting their time. They have no knowledge of spiritual life. And Caitanya Mahāprabhu's cult means Kṛṣṇa consciousness. *Yāre dekha, tāre kaha kṛṣṇa-upadeśa*. — [[spoken/1973/730429mw.la|Morning Walk, Los Angeles, April 29, 1973]] --- ### Understand Krishna Through Caitanya Mahaprabhu > So let us try to understand Kṛṣṇa through Caitanya Mahāprabhu, and as we have repeatedly said, that through Caitanya Mahāprabhu you understand Kṛṣṇa and spread this cult all over the world. People are suffering for want of knowledge of Kṛṣṇa. — [[spoken/1975/750328cc.may|Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Ādi-līlā 1.4, Māyāpur, March 28, 1975]] --- *8 verified verbatim quotes from Śrīla Prabhupāda's spoken words on spreading the mission*
