# Sacrifice *On performing yajña and offering everything to Kṛṣṇa* --- ### Sacrifice for This Age > In the first millennium, meditation was possible. In the second millennium, sacrifice. Big, big *yajña,* or sacrifice, was performed by people. And the third millennium, temple worship. And in the fourth millennium, *kalau tad dhari-kīrtanāt:* in this age of Kali, simply by chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa you can attain the perfection. So these are the prescription. This is the way of living. You perform *yajña,* there will be rain. So in the Kali-yuga the costly sacrifice is not possible. So at the present moment no other *yajña* is possible. The only *yajña, saṅkīrtana-yajña,* is possible. *Yajñaiḥ saṅkīrtana-prāyair yajanti hi su-medhasaḥ.* So if this Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement is taken seriously all over the world and they perform *saṅkīrtana-yajña,* everything will be adjusted immediately. And God said, *bhoktāraṁ yajña-tapasāṁ sarva-loka-maheśvaram.* Somebody must be proprietor. I am proprietor of this land. Who is the proprietor of this water? That is natural question. Just like Hanumān. Hanumān was fighting not for his personal. He was trying to recover Sītā from the hands of Rāvaṇa to bring her again to the side of Rāmacandra. That was his policy. As they are making plan to take away all the monies, we have to also make plan to take the money from the Rāvaṇa and employ it for Kṛṣṇa. Of course, we are not going to cheat them, but our policy is pacifying him, that "Your money is not... Whatever you are thinking your money, it is not your money; it is God's money, Kṛṣṇa's money. If you kindly spare for Kṛṣṇa's service, then your life will be successful. Otherwise, you will be killed like Rāvaṇa." Please try to understand that this human form of life is a chance to get out of this material entanglement. In other than human life—animal life, trees life, beast life, birds life, aquatic life—there are so many, 8,400,000 species of life...
