# Preaching Mission *On the importance of spreading Kṛṣṇa consciousness* --- ### Nobody Is Dearer to Kṛṣṇa > It is said in the *Bhagavad-gītā, ya imaṁ paramaṁ guhyaṁ mad-bhakteṣv abhidhāsyati*: "Anyone who is engaged in preaching this confidential science of *Bhagavad-gītā,*" *na ca tasmān manuṣyeṣu kaścid me priya-kṛttamaḥ,* "nobody is dearer to Me than he is." So if you want very quickly recognition by Kṛṣṇa, go on preaching Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Even it is imperfectly done, but because you are sincere in your capa., whatever capacity you have got, if you preach, then Kṛṣṇa will be very much pleased. I have seen practically. In my Guru Mahārāja's day there was a paper, *Dainik Nadiyā Prakāśa.* [Daily Nadiya Prakāśa] It was being published daily, a piece of paper, just like I was publishing *Back to Godhead.* And if a small *brahmacārī* would go to Navadvīpa and would sell a few copies, one paisa a copy, that would be taken as a great preaching by Guru Mahārāja: "Oh, you have sold five copies? Very good." Because people are so reluctant—they are not at all interested in Kṛṣṇa consciousness—therefore we become very much engladdened when we see that some of our books and literatures are sold. They will read and be benefited. — [[spoken/1976/760326sb.del|Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 7.9.44, Delhi, March 26, 1976]] --- ### The Mission of High-Class Vaiṣṇavas > So this is the mission of high-class Vaiṣṇava, how to preach Kṛṣṇa consciousness among the suffering humanity. And this is the purport of this verse said by Prahlāda Mahārāja, and we are following the footprints of Prahlāda Mahārāja. Never mind even it is imperfectly done, we must execute the orders of Caitanya Mahāprabhu, *yāre dekha tāre kaha kṛṣṇa-upadeśa.*. I may not be so very expert in delivering the message of Kṛṣṇa, but my duty is to try to my best capacity how to distribute this knowledge to the suffering humanity. — [[spoken/1976/760326sb.del|Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 7.9.44, Delhi, March 26, 1976]] --- ### Āmāra Ājñāya Guru Hañā > That's all. *Āmāra ajñaya.* Caitanya Mahāprabhu says. Dr. Patel, hear. Kṛṣṇa says., Caitanya Mahāprabhu says that *āmāra ājñāya guru hañā tāra' ei deśa.*: "You become a *guru.*" Just see. "You become a *guru* by My order." Then one may say that "What qualification I have got that I can become *guru?*" That only qualification: *yāre dekha, tāre kaha 'kṛṣṇa' upadeśa.* You don't require to manufacture any *upadeśa.* Whatever is there already spoken by Kṛṣṇa, you distribute it. You become *guru.* This is *guru.* Not that you are fool. Yes, I am fool. But I am not so fool like you that I adulterate. — [[spoken/1974/740331mw.bom|Morning Walk, Bombay, March 31, 1974]] --- ### No Compromise > Read yourself, let them read. That is Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement. There is no question of cheating or getting some material profit out of this movement. We have no such thing. Material profit will automatically. My Guru Mahārāja used to say, "You are thinking of material profits? This will come and fall down at your feet, 'Why you are worrying? You go and speak the real truth.' " *ṭākā-kaḍira janya cintā karcha? pāye ese luṭe luṭe paḍbe.*" 'Go and speak the truth.' " No compromise. So I never felt scarcity of money. He is from the very beginning. — [[spoken/1977/770327r1.bom|Room Conversation, Bombay, March 27, 1977]] --- ### Material Profit Will Come > Why no one took it, this God consciousness? Do it seriously. Then everything will be all right. They are defying the existence of God and reading *Bhagavad-gītā.* This is the position. And if I go to the details, it may not be very palatable. But big, big leaders say like that. We have got everything in India, and to become God conscious, to establish the Lord's kingdom, not at all difficult. But we manufacture our own ideas. But we want that *rāma-rājya,* but without Rāma. How *rāma-rājya* will be there? — [[spoken/1977/770327r3.bom|Room Conversation with Ratansinh Rajda, Bombay, March 27, 1977]] --- *5 verified verbatim quotes from Śrīla Prabhupāda on the preaching mission*
