Madhya 24.118 ## Text > nava-yogīśvara janma haite 'sādhaka' jñānī > vidhi-śiva-nārada-mukhe kṛṣṇa-guṇa śuni' ## Synonyms *nava*—nine; *yogi*-*īśvara*—great saintly *yogīs*; *janma* *haite*—from the very birth; *sādhaka*—practicers; *jñānī*—well versed in transcendental knowledge; *vidhi*—Lord Brahmā; *śiva*—Lord Śiva; *nārada*—the great sage Nārada; *mukhe*—in their mouths; *kṛṣṇa*-*guṇa* *śuni'*—hearing the transcendental qualities of Kṛṣṇa. ## Translation **"From their very births, the nine great mystic yogīs [Yogendras] were impersonal philosophers of the Absolute Truth. However, because they heard about Lord Kṛṣṇa's qualities from Lord Brahmā, Lord Śiva and the great sage Nārada, they also became Kṛṣṇa's devotees.**
