Madhya 20.15 ## Text > lobha ha-ila yavanera mudrā dekhiyā > rātre gaṅgā-pāra kaila dāḍukā kāṭiyā ## Synonyms *lobha* *ha*-*ila*—there was attraction for the money; *yavanera*—of the meat-eater; *mudrā* *dekhiyā*—seeing the golden coins; *rātre*—at night; *gaṅgā*-*pāra* *kaila*—he got him across the Ganges; *dāḍukā*—shackles; *kāṭiyā*—breaking. ## Translation **When the meat-eater saw the coins, he was attracted to them. He then agreed, and that night he cut Sanātana's shackles and let him cross the Ganges.**
