Antya 15.81 ## Text > tāsāṁ tat-saubhaga-madaṁ > vīkṣya mānaṁ ca keśavaḥ > praśamāya prasādāya > tatraivāntaradhīyata ## Synonyms *tāsām*—of the *gopīs*; *tat*—their; *saubhaga*-*madam*—pride due to great fortune; *vīkṣya*—seeing; *mānam*—conception of superiority; *ca*—and; *keśavaḥ*—Kṛṣṇa, who subdues even *ka* (Lord Brahmā) and *īśa* (Lord Śiva); *praśamāya*—to subdue; *prasādāya*—to show mercy; *tatra*—there; *eva*—certainly; *antaradhīyata*—disappeared. ## Translation **“ 'The gopīs became proud of their great fortune. To subdue their sense of superiority and show them special favor, Keśava, the subduer of even Lord Brahmā and Lord Śiva, disappeared from the rāsa dance.' "** ## Purport This verse quoted from *Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam* (10.29.48) was spoken by Śukadeva Gosvāmī to Mahārāja Parīkṣit.
