Ādi 4.188 > তাঁ সবার নাহি নিজসুখ-অনুরোধ । > তথাপি বাঢ়য়ে সুখ, পড়িল বিরোধ ॥১৮৮॥ ## Text > tāṅ sabāra nāhi nija-sukha-anurodha > tathāpi bāḍhaye sukha, paḍila virodha ## Synonyms *tāṅ sabāra*—of all of them; *nāhi*—not; *nija-sukha*—for their own happiness; *anurodha*—entreaty; *tathāpi*—still; *bāḍhaye*—increases; *sukha*—happiness; *paḍila*—happened; *virodha*—contradiction. ## Translation **The gopīs have no inclination for their own enjoyment, and yet their joy increases. That is indeed a contradiction.**
