śaṅkha-tūrya-mṛdaṅgānāṁ
vāditrāṇāṁ pṛthuḥ svanaḥ
devānugānāṁ sastrīṇāṁ
nṛtyatāṁ gāyatām abhūt

Synonyms

śaṅkha—conchshells; tūrya—bugles; mṛdaṅgānām—and of different types of drums; vāditrāṇām—of the musical instruments; pṛthuḥ—very great; svanah—sound; deva-anugānām—the inhabitants of the upper planets like the Gandharvas and Cāraṇas, who follow the demigods; sa-strīṇām—as along with their own wives; nṛtyatām—engaged in dancing; gāyatām—singing; abhūt—became. 

Translation

The inhabitants of Gandharvaloka and Cāraṇaloka then took the opportunity to play their musical instruments, such as conchshells, bugles and drums. They began dancing and singing along with their wives.
