ब्रह्मोवाच
इति तद्गृणतां तेषां मुनीनां योगधर्मिणाम् ।
प्रतिनन्द्य जगादेदं विकुण्ठनिलयो विभुः ॥१॥

brahmovāca
iti tad gṛṇatāṁ teṣāṁ
munīnāṁ yoga-dharmiṇām
pratinandya jagādedaṁ
vikuṇṭha-nilayo vibhuḥ
Synonyms
brahma uvāca—Lord Brahmā said; iti—thus; tat—speech; gṛṇatām—praising; tesam—of them; munīnām—those four sages; yoga-dharmiṇām—engaged in linking with the Supreme; pratinandya—after congratulating; jagāda—said; idam—these words; vikuntha-nilayaḥ—whose abode is bereft of anxiety; vibhuḥ—the Supreme Personality of Godhead. ¶
Translation
Lord Brahmā said: After thus congratulating the sages for their nice words, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, whose abode is in the kingdom of God, spoke as follows. ¶
