strī-dhana dekhāñā tāṅra lobha janmāila
ārya sarala viprera buddhi-nāśa kaila

strī-dhana—women; dekhāñā—showing; tanra—his; lobha—attraction; janmāila—they created; arya—gentleman; sarala—simple; viprera—of the brāhmaṇa; buddhi-nasa—loss of intelligence; kaila—they made. ¶
Translation
With women the Bhaṭṭathāris allured the brāhmaṇa Kṛṣṇadāsa, who was simple and gentle. By virtue of their bad association, they polluted his intelligence. ¶
