dui-guccha tṛṇa duṅhe daśane dhariyā
prabhu dekhi’ dūre paḍe daṇḍavat hañā

Synonyms

dui-guccha—two bunches; trna—straw; duṅhe—both of them; daśane dhariya—holding in the teeth; prabhu dekhi—seeing the Lord; dūre—in a distant place; pade—fell down; danda-vat—like rods; hana—becoming. 

Translation

Seeing the Lord from a distance, the two brothers put two clumps of straw between their teeth and immediately fell down on the ground like rods, offering Him obeisances.
