gaṅgā-yamunā prayāga nārila ḍubāite
prabhu ḍubāila kṛṣṇa-premera vanyāte
Synonyms
ganga-yamunā—the River Ganges and River Yamunā; prayāga—Prayāga; narila—were not able; ḍubāite—to flood; prabhu—Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu; dubaila—flooded; krsna-premera—of ecstatic love of Kṛṣṇa; vanyāte—in an inundation. ¶
Translation
Prayāga is located at the confluence of two rivers—the Ganges and the Yamunā. Although these rivers were not able to flood Prayāga with water, Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu inundated the whole area with waves of ecstatic love for Kṛṣṇa. ¶
