śrīvāse kahena prabhu kariyā viṣāda
loka bhaya pāya,—mora haya aparādha
Synonyms
śrīvāse—unto Śrīvāsa Ṭhākura; kahena—says; prabhu—the Lord; kariya—becoming; visada—morose; loka—people; bhaya paya—become afraid; mora—My; haya—there is; aparadha—offense. ¶
Translation
The Lord became morose and said to Śrīvāsa Ṭhākura, “When I adopted the mood of Lord Nṛsiṁhadeva, people were greatly afraid. Therefore I stopped, since causing fear among people is an offense.” ¶
