gaṅgā-ghāṭe vṛkṣa-tale rahe ta’ vasiyā
eka dina bale kichu prabhuke dekhiyā

Synonyms

ganga-ghate—on the bank of the Ganges; vṛkṣa-tale—underneath a tree; rahe—remains; ta—certainly; vasiyā—sitting; eka dina—one day; bale—says; kichu—something; prabhuke—the Lord; dekhiyā—seeing. 

Translation

Since leprosy is an infectious disease, Gopāla Cāpāla left the village to sit down on the bank of the Ganges underneath a tree. One day, however, he saw Caitanya Mahāprabhu passing by and spoke to Him as follows.
